VIC 9

ViC 9

I plan on participating, and have already ordered 2 minis. Sure, 12 Euros is a lot to pay for one mini, but I bought two, so its going to be more like 8 Euros for each... and it goes down the more you buy - now that I think of it I shoulda gone in with a couple of my friends and gotten 5, then it only would have been ~5 Euros a mini, much more reasonable :) I don\'t mind though, its not like they are making a profit... and I like participating in the ViC. Besides, GW charges almost as much for some of their single minis, and I know they are making a profit :innocent:

I personally don\'t put much worth on things. Heck, I gotta $45 box of Confrontation Goblin Pirates just sitting around because I never get to doing them, so buying 5 minis is no big deal (though I\'ll have 5 more unpainted minis).

My big question is what is it supposed to be? I recognise the cloak as a semi-european make from the 16-1700\'s.. but the rest looks like a weird elf/assassin/native american kinda guy... Les Pacte des Loupes, maybe? :p

As far as I can tell from a quick glance at the site, entering requires you have a Paypal account? In that case I\'ll pass on this one.

I have a love/hate attitude toward the mini. The coat looks very 18th century America, except it has a hood. The pose is great but I think if I did get it I\'d lose the \"house\".

ooo... now I want to paint him like Mani! And there\'re conversion possibilities too - although I was always going to take him off the roof. saw the movie on the weekend, much fun.

I\'ve got a model kicking around that could be turned into the Beast too...

I thought the fig was only 4.5 Euro? Or is the 12 including postage? Living in NZ postage from overseas is always a killer so I just try not to think about it :) .

It\'s good to know I\'m a trend setter.. :p

While on Mani, there\'s some other things to think about: in one of the deleted scenes, a crow shows Mani where a dead peasent is... The actor who plays him, Mark Dacascos, originally starred in the Crow TV series. Seems fitting to give him a crow peering over on the ledge, looking out for him... and I\'ve got 4 more ways to do this mini!

I don\'t believe you need a paypal account to enter the VIC, rather just to order the miniature.
If you want, I could add a miniature to my order and trade it with you. I don\'t think Dominic/the organiser would mind.

Thanks for the offer, but the price (especially shipping) still makes this a bit high for me right now. I appreciate the offer though and am sorely tempted. Perhaps if some conversion could come to mind....hmmm...one\'s actually coming to me now. How much would my portion of shipping come to??

VinceGamer, Has my attempt to send you a U2U message succeeded? (first time I used that option, so a bit new to me)

Sjakkie has pointed out other problems to me (mainly that he lives in the Netherlands) that make this too complicated.
So, if anyone in the states is planning on participating and wouldn\'t mind picking one more up for me, let me know.

I ordered two also. I like the look of the mini itself. I wasn\'t real pleased with the cost, but considering only the number ordered will be produced I took the \"collector\'s eddition\" attitude and ordered anyway.
