Joe Biden. Read his bio at wikipedia. Assumed that no one tempered with it, he seems like a good, reasonable choice as vice preisdent: a lot of experience, has a very good reputation when it comes to foreign policies... .

is for more gun control ...
fought drug abuse and doping ( who at capitol hill didn´t )
and he later reconsidered and regret his vote for the iraque war - seems this guy is able to admit mistakes (YES I´M TALKING ABBOUT YOU GEORGE W.)
the only negative fact i found was his particicpation in the passing of that stupid R.A.V.E. act and he´s pro capital punishment - but hey let´s face it , if he were not, his career would be over.
Plus he´s a lobbyist for the AMTRAK (National Railroad Passenger Corporation)
not for the oil industry - i don´t think he´s going to start a war for railways through the middle east
