Video capture software

Hi guys,

Looking at new ways to show some of my students competence in I.T. I want to use software that records their actions on a computer, I know plenty of software that records the desktop.

What I need to do is prove that it's the student carrying out the task. I'm looking for software that will record the desktop, but also record the student through the webcam........does anything exist that can do this?

Cheers

I know a lot of YouTube gamers use Fraps, and while I haven't used it, I think it is possible to have it record the entire screen at once. So, small webcam at top right window, main window showing the task. Completed video file is turned in as their assignment. I could see that.

No completely with their knowledge and prior agreement, it would form part of work for their electronic portfolio, currently at the moment I have to write a report explaining what I've seen.

@pegazus - I'll look at this fraps.

Yeah, Fraps is one of those that records whatever is on the monitor. Used for gameplay videos and the like. I expect it'd record mouse movement, but wouldn't do anything for keystrokes. Turns out a massive filesize though. Those that use it tend to need to condense/convert the file to something manageable.
