I make NO apologies with what I posted on the pro-painted thread.
To be here you have to have thick skin.
When I started out I was a very mediocre painter,with delusions of grandeur. I was better than most people I knew and thought I was good.This site showed me the truth,after a shattered ego and a lot of humble pie.Coolmini is responcible for me taking my painting out of the box and improving to the next level.So take it all in stride to get better.

Agreed. I think nobody really doubts that, but you have to admit the beginning of his post just begged for a little pun.
However I think showing somebody that there exist better painters than him can also be done politely. And objectively. (Recoil889 didn\'t ask for it anyway but just wanted to sell his/her mini...)

I agree with you completely on that point. Use of minimal necessary force is always a good thing.

Still, the forums are open to all users. I\'m sorry that Recoil889 got scared off....the point has been made newbies make mistakes and should be cut a little slack until they learn the ropes and the fact is that little slack was cut on that thread. Unfortunate perhaps, but true.

I do firmly believe that everyone here puts their best foot forward towards making this a viable community... and that tolerance should be shown to to one and all, especially to those with whom we disagree.

Am I some freaky love-nik living in the cloud, spouting new-age peace-love? Nope, I\'m a guy living in the world, getting pissed off at my kids, my wife and coworkers just like everybody else. What I\'m trying to do is to give a little room to all the people out there.

Well things seem to have calmed down a bit now. Maybe it was the time outs. Maybe it was the weather.

I did apologise for my behavior which looking back did go a bit too far. This was for the sake of soiling the boards for while.
I never received any apology for the personal attacks I received ( but to be honest I dont really give a shit and never expected one anyway.)
