I am proud to announce a new seminar being held in Toronto over the labour day long weekend (so people don\'t need to take time off work for the monday!!!)

Have you ever stared at a miniature and wondered how those fancier techniques and effects are done? Have you been seeking to take your painting to the next level? Here is your opportunity to learn first hand from a multiple Slayer Sword winner how it’s all done. Vincent Hudon (Silphid on coolminiornot.com) will be teaching a 3 day painting seminar in Toronto, Canada, on September 1, 2 & 3 where you will get to see first hand how he achieves his results.
The purpose of this painting seminar is to introduce motivated hobbyists to a variety of advanced painting techniques and styles gathered from around the world from the world of competitive painting. There are no wrong or right way to paint a miniature; the purpose of this seminar is to show you exactly how different techniques and effects can work for you. Essentially, this seminar is to give you all the tools required to achieve the results seen in Golden Demons around the world. It is then up to the painter to pick the techniques he feels comfortable with for the results he/she prefers.
This 3-day course will be running from morning to supper time with a short lunch break. Every attendant will be practicing on the same imposed miniature to insure maximum retention of techniques. Painters are also encouraged to bring their own projects for pointers and advice catered to their current skill and preferences. The beginner as much as the confirmed painter will benefit greatly, but be warned that it is an intense painting experience for those motivated in improving their painting. Subjects covered will include proper priming to basecoats, using a wet palette, the color circle, paint dilution, complementary color shading, zenithal light, saturation/desaturation, feathering, juice shading, metallics, non-metallic metal, armor effects, skintones and color coordination.
There are 12 spots available for this event, limited to insure each painter gets plenty of personnal attention. Although Vincent asks no monetary compensation for his preparation and time, a fee will be required from the attendants to cover Vincent’s travel expenses to fly to Toronto for the event. We stress that this remains an entirely non-lucrative event, to promote the painting efforts of this hobby we all share and enjoy.
If you’re serious about improving your painting, don’t wait too long to book your spot! Contact me, and we can discuss cost/payment, and anything else you may want to know (tools to bring, etc). The venues for the classes will also be discussed (and directions).
