ok, apparently our dear adie cannot keep up with all his correspondence (he\'s very technophobic) so i suggested centralising his stuff here and people could ask questions away and he wouldnt have to repeat himself. so without further pause...



1,...The multi coloured putty is MAGIC SCULPT ( GOOGLE , SYLMASTA model
supplies )I add a bit of citadel paint to each batch I mix just to make
the process a bit more interesting and colourful.

2,...I prime my models with HALFORDS / GREY car primer.Then when dry I
spray BLACK up the model and WHITE down onto the model.I call this PRESHADING.

3,...The VULKAN HESTAN mini is a converted INQUISITOR range BAT BRO
ARTEMIS.

4,...The Wolf is 13th coy/commander,and as they went into the warp after
the heresy the wolf is wearing a mix of heresy period Imperial armour &
>> chaos bits.Original model ,Forge worlds Zhofar,chaor termie commander.

5,...The tech priest dude is part of my INQUISITOR retinue.

And remember PLEASE ,PLEASE ,PLEASE get things finished !

As these are based on gw IP Adrian wouldn\'t be able to cast them for reproduction legaly mate.

i would one day like to see an origional Vincenti model cast for sale though

why not?
try it out mate, all that will happen is that you will slowly improve on your current skills and standards.
do it step by step and get feedback from the sculpting section.

do you think guys like Adrian started of being absoloutley fantastic sculpters, they had to work at it mate.

Don\'t feel pressured into sculpting He\'stan at 54mm scale (or 75mm depending how you look at it... Marines are huge!). I\'ve seen some decent He\'stan models at 28mm already and they are a lot less labor intensive lol

looking forward to seeing the vulkan finished the most, wana see how adi does the spear of vulkan.

Dont be worried hestan if your vulkan is simpler than adi\'s, as others have said its talent built up through practice.

Use the book artwork for your 28mm model an he\'ll look fine

I am open to how I can improve the non - primed stuff, or any I deas people might have.
The tech priest is going to look a bit like the bod on the new novel .

one of the things right now is that the servitor\'s shirt seems to come out of nowhere, and has an awful lot of folds, which while they look good(except on the main torso), might be too complex for a rather simple lower body

it might help to see different angles of him if possible

the folds coming out from the chest box, i would think would look different...if the box is pushing the shirt up, they look ok but the fold above the box is missing in that case

if the box is simply placed on, the folds wouldnt be stretch but more dispersed

and if the robe feel around the box(as in was cut to fit it) then they would have much more subtle folds


my main issue with the unit as a whole is that the termie is static, the libby is more in action, the marine in more intense action and the servitor static...it might be tougher to convey an idea that is apparent throughout the unit because everyone is doing something different, but its nto a uniform difference, its a chaotic one(if you know what i mean)

unless that is ive misunderstood and they arent all for one squad
