I wanted to paint this mini for ages and the longer I left it the more amazing versions popped up. Jacques Alexander\'s, Mathieul\'s and Automaton\'s to name but three.
Last week I got her out of my box of metal and thought sod it I\'ll paint her - It\'s a gorgeous sculpt, even the fur, which I hate painting usually, was well defined and took the paint well. In the end I decided to give her quite a latin skin tone - I don\'t know whether it\'s appropriate for a barbarian chick but I thought it fit her features quite well.

I gave it a 10 like you did The face is absolutely superb, although the piece as a whole, while perfectly smooth and gorgeous, lacks \"pop\" - maybe a little too limited in terms of colour and texture. But overall it\'s amazing, and the base... wow.

Amazing work yet again.. you never disappoint me! I love the colours and your smooth and subtle style seem to fit every miniature

But IMHO the quality of your pictures seem to have dropped somewhat though in your last couple of submissions. From what I can see your camera and lighting is great. But the image is underexposed. So as it is, I think it needs some slight photoshop tweaking.

I did some quick leveling in photoshop:

The saturation and colours of the image changes a bit when you draw up the levels on the picture, so it\'s generally better to try slower shutterspeeds on the camera to get a better exposure.

Maybe a background colour change is in order? That\'s the only thing that is really different and it does effect the over all look of a mini don\'t you think? It\'s kind of a drab back drop. The colours in the pic I posted are very true though so that is important when I am selling.
I have been making do with that backdrop until our shipment arrived from the US with my lovely printer. I should print some gradients and play.

You could use photoshop to put a different backdrop in. Its pretty easy to do.

Woah! Best attempt I\'ve seen at this, and there are some awesome ones around. Just phenomonal stuff. The fur around the shoulders is the only thing not quite perfect (the transition from white to brown\'s a tad stark) but that\'s really nitpicking. I don\'t wanna commit to a decission before thinking about it for a good while and checking back a few times, but I think this one\'s probably in my top 10 on CMON!

the skin colour suits well and gives a more almost amazonian warrior woman look and the face is chilling awesome..

I think the original picture is the best and needs no changing. It complements the tones of the paintwork. 10 out of 10 and stop shopping people\'s images, folks! lol
