Visual Scavenger Hunt Help!

HI All CMON\'ers!

I\'m on a team that competes yearly in a friendly trivia contest done over the radio. During the contest they ask questions from a packet of pictures they give out when the teams register, kinda like a visual scavenger hunt. We\'ve got info on a bunch of them but there\'s half a dozen that are giving us a hard time so I\'m calling out to the communities I frequent for help. (no, we don\'t win money or anything, just bragging rights and a hang over after 50 hours)

The questions could be about anything to do with the image - anything. Popular resources for images in the past have been album covers, comic books, famous/infamous people, not so famous locations, games, pop-culture, and so on. We have no idea what the question will be about some images. We are completely stumped by the ones below...

Island

Kids

Language?

Pipes

With this last one, a few things we do know. The statue is of Episteme, the Greek Goddess of Knowledge, located in the ruins of the Ceslus Library in Turkey. The person is Tyrone Power. We haven\'t been able to find any connection between the two though - this one could be very isoteric.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.

Only a couple of guesses I have -

the language one - I\'ve seen it somewhere and I think it was in a computer game. Star Wars - something like that?

The pipes one - as it has london on the bottom, i\'d guess something to do with the original sewer system, or the large number of lost rivers that are now under the streets

Don\'t know for the other two i\'m afraid

The language, my wife says, is Sirilic (or something similar to that). Spelling isn\'t
certain.
Possibly Aramaic?

The kids, to me, look like the pair from the sides of Ben & Jerry\'s trucks. I think
Ice Cream.

The island, I got no clue.

I\'ve seen that pipes picture, before, but can\'t for the life of me remember where.

Language looks like Klingon. Or maybe Romulan, I\'m not much of a trekkie.

Kids look like the ones from Ben & Jerry\'s.
I\'m with you Naukhel!

Island look like resort map, or kids menu..>LOL.

I think we did a thread about the pipes already.

My husband and I had a very thorough search through fonts and pages devoted to \'conscripts\' and \'conlangs\' (constructed scripts and constructed languages), and are coming up empty. You might want to look for a forum devoted to constructed languages and post that picture there, since it seems to be an avid hobby for some people.

Thanks for the help so far folks! Does anyone have a picture of a Ben & Jerry\'s delivery truck? We don\'t get them Around here (Minnesota) and the web doens\'t seem to focus on the delivery trucks too much..:D:D

Yeah, the font, language looking thing is a tough one. I\'ve got a friend who\'s got a friend who\'s a military level cryptologist and we\'re going to see what he can do.

Thanks again everyone and Happy New Year!

My first impression on the script was Dune. Don\'t know why. Probably isn\'t helpful either.

Didn\'t stop me from posting, tho.

I was thinking it was the ancient language from an episode of Doctor Who (the one with the creature that was possibly the devil), but it\'s not that either.

I think that Ive seen this language. Try to see if you can find the test for the US Army\'s language specialist. I want to say that the first word is DANGER with the rest of it something about a accident/ explosion on a spaceship? And if memory serves the two downslashes are line breaks/STOPS.

Well M2C,
Brian
