Visual Scavenger Hunt

Hello all mini-painters!

I know most of you have jobs and interests other than miniature painting (NO!) and I\'m making a plea to all of you who appreciate a good visual scavenger hunt and a bit of trivia to help me out here.

Every year our local college radio station runs a 50 hour trivia marathon over the airwaves. The big prize for winning? Nothing really, an ugly urn and bragging rights. The station gives out a packet of pictures before the contest and once in a while during the show they ask questions about the pics in the packet.

I know people like to show off how much they know (guilty!) and what better group of people to ask than people who share the same interests in modeling/painting than me?

As I said before, our team doesn\'t know what the questions will be, we just hope we can find out as much as possible about the images before the game starts and wish for luck. Please be aware that some images may be very central Minnesota-centric as that\'s where the contest is held.

If anyone recognizes anything about any of these images please post here in the forum. I\'ll give you credit on our teams website for the assist if you find/know something. the deadline is he second week in February.

I\'ll see if my wife recognizes the horse.

That pic of 4 guys looks like a band. Maybe if you title the thread \"who is this band?\"....

:rolleyes: The horse looks like a Black Percheron, a French breed of draft horse, it comes in gray and is nicknamed rosin-back for their use in circuses.

That must be one small Percheron or one really tall girl, the max height is about 16 hands for a stallion, mares would be a bit smaller.

I\'m not 100% sure, but I think the four guys are the band, Loverboy.
Kinda looks like one of their album pictures, anyway.

Think one near the top was possibly Richard Branson and down in the middle was Rush Limbaugh? Towards the bottom, Bob Kesham?

The band - Sex Pistols?

the girl is stood on her tip toes which makes her look taller, though she does have a cute butt :D

the third down im pretty sure is the sexpistols, thats all the help i can be everything in there is way before my time.

Thanks for the help/hints erveryone. Except for the obvious non-real-answers, all of your ideas are being thoroughly researched.

Thanks for the horse ideas everyone - I didn\'t realize there were so many large horse breeds!

I\'ve checked out Bob Keeshan to death and I don\'t think it\'s him- looks close though.

keep the ideas comming in and I\'ll look through them all and appreciate the help!

18 looks like an actor on a TV show, plays an older father/grandfather type, something from the past 10 or so years. While I can picture the guy clearly in my mind, I am unfortunately blanking completely on the show or anyone else in it that might get me further. Hopefully a more helpful answer will percolate up into my brain soon.

18 looks like Omar Shariff to me.
15 appears to be a map from a museum/park. Henry Ford\'s Greenfield Village comes to mind first, but that\'s only because I live in the same state.
