All political parties here are capitalist ( apart from the comunist but that\'s not suprinsing ).
and sarkozy is champion of liberalisme not the same thing as capitalisme. and for all our english friends you could compare him to tatcher, he\'ll get the economie back runing but people won\'t like that way he\'ll do it

@FK : I think you might be mistaken in your terms. Liberal in french means capitalist, and I think that liberal in english means \"democrat\" (as in the oposit of republican). Plus the guy is head of the police and secret services, head of his party, and going for president, ... I find that a bit disturbing.

Capitalisme: Systeme economique et social fonde sur la proprieté prive des moyen de production et d\'echange. ( caracterise par l\'esprit d\'initiative et de concurence)

Liberalisme: doctorine economique de la libre entreprise selon laquelle l\'etat ne doit pas, par son intervention, gener le libre jeux de la concurence. en politique cela ce traduit aussi par une limitation des pouvoirs de l\'etat face au pouvoir individuelle. ( cf. adam smith qui est le plus connu pour ces thories).
