We have all read the many comparison charts of Vallejo Game Colour and Citadel but does anyone have suggestions regarding their best choices for Vallejo Model Colour and Citadel equivalencies?

Thanks

They are all-together different animals.

VGC is color for color and ALMOST name-for-name the same as GW paint. Not the same formula, but similar.

VMC is very low in binder, replicates the historic military colors (plus other things like horses) and great for museum pieces and display models. It can be used for gaming with lots of clear coat to keep it on the model.

RMS (Reaper Master Series) is a separate beast made for gamers as well. Colors come in triads (shadow, mid-tone and highlight) to take the guesswork out.

P3\'s (sorry, I have no experience with them) are a relative newcomer and all reports are positive.

Thanks airhead. I have both the model and game colour ranges and was just wondering what other people use as substitutes for GW paints from the Vallejo Model Colour range. There are comparison charts galore available for Vallejo Game Colour but as there are so many hueswith sight variations in the Model Colour that I was curious what other people use in the VMC for say Goblin Green etc. What I might use as Scorched Brown from the VMC range might not be what somebody else uses. JUst my thirst for probably useless bits of trivia.
No.....actually I prefer to use VMC over all others and would like to know what colours it has similar to GW paint. I can\'t make up my mind between colours so that is why I am asking all of you.

Thank you johnboyjjb for your reply. It was exactly what I was looking for and will be a very useful and often used tool. I need no further replies regarding this topic as the problem is now solved.
I am off to play with my new colour matching toy.
Cheers Joanne
