Volcano Cannon anyone?

Hi

I've come to the conclusion that building, sculpting or big scale conversions are not my best strength

I've built a few Forgeworld models in the last couple of years and am about to embark on a Reaver Titan

I do so want it to have a Volcano Cannon though.

Is anyone here interested in a commission to build such a cannon that looks like the real deal and of a quality and detail level to fit in with the rest of the model?

Well, I've got this turbo plasma cannon I've been working on from time to time (for those of you who knows what I'm talking about: No, it's -not- dead, it's just resting. :) ), a volcano cannon would be quite simple in comparison. The volcano cannon in itself is a pretty simple build but as freak puts it, the level of detail and quality of the build lies all in the depth of your pockets. I'd be interested in the commission, I like big guns for some reason, question is, would you be interested in me?

Here's a comparison between my plasma cannon WIP and "the real deal" and I'll let you make the call.

What Crome has not shown in his modesty is the real cool glow of his gun! Would be sooo great to see that effect on a titan...

Hi Chrome, Freakinacage

I'm shelling out around 1,000 Aussie dollars for the model, so I don't want to skimp on the weapon. By the same token I don't want to spend as much on a weapon as on the whole thing.

All that said, I know that making it look just like a forgeworld one, so it doesn't look like a cheap knock-off next to the rest of the model is vital

I do not want to get you guys into any kind of bidding war, nor do I have any realistic idea of the amount of work this would take. Similarly I don't want to dictate the value of the skills needed nor the rates at which they are charged.

Your respective locations in relation to me also bear on the situation.

Also do you need a real forgworld weapon to destroy and convert, or just to look at and ensure mounts etc are compatible?

So In short, I'm not an expert , I've never asked for a commission piece before so I don't know how much this would cost, so can't honestly tell you how much I'd be willing to pay.

I t could be a simple job for an expert to knock out in an hour and cost $25, in which case it's not a big deal and we are off and running. Or it might be a major project requiring months of work and many tens of hours and cost $2000 to which I say, I guess I wait for forgeworld.

I'm not trying to be evasive. I just don't have the experience or information to give you a valid answer.

As some sort of guide the FW ones are GBP50 or to me AUD90 I guess that GBP90 or AUD150 for an upper limit would be my guidelines

If you would prefer to Private Message me on this further to avoid the semblance of a bidding war, please feel free
