Arma, the skulls(on the shield) were given a base of P3 Jack bone. Highlighted with GW bleached bone and Bleached bone + VMC Ivory. Shaded (lightly) with GW Graveyard earth and then VMC pale cam. violet brown. I don\'t think I could repeat the skull on the belt as it wasn\'t looking good and took a whole lot of damage control to get it back to presentable.
The base was out of sculpey and various interestingly textured sticks I found. The sculpey was shaped around the outer edges of the base to form a basin. I also made some rocks and bumps for inside the basin. I smushed the sticks into the sculpey and baked them together after which they were super glued onto the base. The sculpey was covered with flock and then painted in GW camo green, highlighted up to VMC yellow green and shaded with various washes of greens(VMC olive drab was one I used for the darker areas) and browns to taste. I think it looks best to blotch on the washes erratically so you get a little more variation. I also speckled very sparsely some red into the moss to give a little more color. The sticks were based VMC green ochre, highlighted with VMC green ochre + pale sand and tinted with various washes of orages and browns. I finally filled the basin with two part epoxy tinted with vallejo smoke and vallejo transparent green for water.
The leaves/ferns are brass etched and were added at the end. The mushrooms are made out of green stuff for the caps and wire for the stems. I\'d take more pics of the base for you, but Volgor is hanging out at my LGS at the moment.
