I must be missing out on the Krispy Kreme. Don\'t get me wrong, I love me doughnuts, but those are plain nasty crap.

Krispy Kreme has been trying to get a foot-hold here in Toronto for a while, now. They aren\'t doing too well, though. Tim Horton\'s sells better products for less money.
KK\'s are all right, as long as you get them still steaming hot fresh. After that, they\'re not good for much more than paper-weights.

They tried to get a foot hold here in my area as well. No stores, but catering to all the convenience stores. But, most of those have now gone away, replaced by local (and massively better) bakers.

You\'d be surprised at what kind of \"shops\" we have. Been to the candle shop? How about the IMPORTED candle shop? I guess domestic candles would just ruin the ambiance. Or the bakery for dogs? Maybe the store that makes custom picture frames? I still don\'t see how they stay in business! My personal favorite is the unpainted pottery store. You come in, use their paints, and walk out with your own decorative piece!

Actually, we have those paint-your-own-pottery places in the UK, too. I went to one in Bristol once, and it was rather good fun. Who has a kiln and a big pile of clay in the back garden to do such a thing otherwise? Not to mention the skill required to make something that resembles a cup or a tea-pot.

We have lots of different shops that dont make sense... like the Curves with a mcdonalds within it (ya I am not joking) ... for you that do not know, curves is a womens gym specially designed to help women with body image problems workout without men around to judge them. I guess that hard workout makes you want a big mac with fries afterwards...

Normally I keep my political views close to my vest, but I\'ll come out and make this stance known since it is of utmost importance.

Dunkin Donuts is in every way the superior candidate to Krispy Kreme (and Dunkin Donut\'s coffee is even better than that overpriced watery Starbucks crap).

To quote a friend (who clearly didn\'t think before he said this): \"I wipe my *** with Krispy Kreme...!\"

Done that before, myself. Is quite fun, and painted 3 ice cream/cereal bowls; one for each of my kids.

Ok I pride myself on my taste in donuts. I can\'t spell it but I know a good one when I taste it. Many\'s the time a made some poor sap get out of bed in the middle of the night because I love them after..............

Anyway, Krispy Kreme is awful. If they aren\'t hot they are the worst things on earth. Even when hot they are WAAAAAAAYY too sweet. Dunkin donuts are good but the best ever is this shop near work called Mrs C\'s. They make donutholes out the raise dough. Not cake dough. God they are heaven! Too bad I\'m on a diet. I want some now! :cussing:

Tim Horton\'s did them first, and they\'re really called Timbits.
Tim Horton\'s makes the best coffee (or so I\'m told, since I don\'t drink coffee), and has even shipped hundreds of cases of it over seas to Canadian soldiers that were suffering withdrawal symptoms.

As for doughnuts, I have to stand faithfully, and patriotically, by Tim Horton\'s. And I\'ve eaten a lot of doughnuts in my time.

Dunkin\' Donuts is a close second, though.
