The OSL looks good, but the mini seems to be pretty far away, so it\'s kinda hard to tell, tbh. Could we maybe get some closer shots of him?

Much. Thank you.

You\'ve definitely hit the OSL on this one. Excellent work on the shadows and all.

The only thing that I can see is that maybe the light at the top of the pole could have been brighter, especially on the underside of it. Just my opinion.

Voted.

the OSL looks really good but the only thing that I see is that the light on top is a little odd. I think it should be a little more yellowish-orange to make it seem dimmer. its a great little piece though.

I think the concept is well thought out, but some of the colors and in particular the height of the light is a bit too much.

The lamp light source needs more color, like the orange yellow suggested. Currently the impression I get is the pole is the lightsource.

I definitly notice the improvement your making so please keep it up. yer getting better and better with each mini.

I think you are just a few \"mental breakthroughs\" to becoming on of the more reknown painters.

I like the paintjob on the trooper, it reminds me of \"real paintings\". I have the same criticisms of the light source itself as mentioned above however.

Good concept :D
As for the actual OSL - MY particular gripe is that for a streetlamp it seems to be wholly ineffective :p

I know you were going for a dim colour, but with him sat directly beneath the lamp (Maybe for ease of working out where the light falls?) it seems to look wrong with the actual lamp (At the top of the pole) being so bright...

But nevertheless, I like it. That\'s what artistic licence is FOR right? lol

I ageree with DaN. The concept is outstanding, the atmosphere and painting suits the consept very well. It got 8 from me. Devil is in details however. 1) Relative size of the trooper and the lamp. This lamp is much too big for a human this size. 2) It is lit very bright. You drove it all the way to white but what happens to this light? For a lamp of this size, lit that brightly the area below it would be flooded with light like on an operating table.

What you could try, along the lines of this concept. A wall, with a wall-mounted lamp and a wounded under this wall. This way you can play with OSL on the wall and on your trooper, and you can put a smaler less brightly lit lamp closer to the trooper.

PS. I was wondering. This wounded guy. did you convert him or he is available as is? I was toying with the idea of dioram of a field triage center and wounded guy like this would be rather useful.

Thanks

@Skeeve I believe the figure used is a GW original, but I think he\'s limited edition... Dunno if you can still get him in store or via the website, but I\'m sure you\'d be able to find him on Ebay or somewhere...

I like the painting, but the whole idea bothers me. If I had a wounded buddy, I would put him in a dark alley, not under a street light for all the BG\'s to see. Maybe a dead body to draw out the enemy snipers?

i sort of visulised it (as i was doing my paperround btw)That he had been fighting during a retreat and got hit and was waiting for someone to find his so he would go into a light source to be seen.Alos an entirly black model and background may not be very interestin.:D;):D
