Hi Palocles, welcome to the forums, I\'ve looked through your models and there is some very nice work there. I particularly like the reds in your Sorscha.

One theme that I see through all 4 posts is that your metalics don\'t seem to have the same depth as the rest of the model. I think another wash or two to darken the metalics and a real bright highlight on the edges or hot spots would really add.

great work though, keep it up.

Where is Chern Ann? I know posts don\'t seem to be going live, but I haven\'t heard word on what\'s going on really...

Thanks Eric\' and Space\'.

I think Chern is on Holiday or something, Avicenna/Pete told me he was away but nothing more.

Yeah if done some Rackham Khors recently too, they\'ll be posted sometime and the thing the i thought let them down was their swords. They didn\'t have the kind of contrast i want. Their armour isn\'t too bad though. I\'ll post one now and put a link here in a sec.

It\'s looking pretty good, but I agree that the sword could use something, especially where it\'s touching the feather. What I would suggest is shading with non-metalics to, and working up to metalics. Also take a look into the articles section and look for the oxidation of metalics article, it\'s wonderful and might give you ideas to add some additional flare to the mini.

Shading with non metallics? What do you mean Eric?

Black I suppose :l

But I really love Sorscha and the Bombardiers. Can I ask how you did Sorscha\'s red armour ? I\'m still so undecided on what to use on my Khador gang :/
Anyways.. I voted on all ! Excellent work, looking forward to that dwarf crew :D

Avicenna! What do you mean 5 o\'clock shadow! I hope she doesn\'t hear you. (just had a close look at the pic now, hmmm, maybe that \"breast\" plate is just a disquise. Don\'t know how i never noticed before. It\'s not the same IRL, knew i should have made the pic smaller!)

Yeah, i think i\'ll look up that article too.

Calavera: I used Citidel paints, sticking with them due to familiarity. Basically it a quicker version of a very nice technique for red Babylonia told me about.

Full method: Start with base of Chaos Black and Scab mix, highlight with traight Scab, then with Gore, then with Blood, then with Fiery then Blazing oranges, then tiny edges of Bronzed Flesh abd finally go over it with red ink as many times as you like and you have lovely deep red.

This version: Basically the same, Black and Scab, Scab, Gore, then a layer of Gore and Blood, then straight red. Done. You can do the inking with this version too.
