Hey CMON, I am an aspiring web developer whose portfolio needs embiggening. I am also a mini painter, and I thought this would be a good way to give back to the community. Most developers charge AT LEAST $30 an hour for their services. I am offering a static page website composed of up to 5 webpages, including a gallery plugin and an email contact form, for a fee of $80. I can do much more, but if you want a simple, good-looking page for a reasonable amount of money, give me a PM or an email at spurcell93@gmail.com .

Here's my (in-progress) mini page: http://sampurcell.net/sam/milesofminis/
and a screenshot or two.

Thanks for looking! Hope to hear from you.

PS I hope this isn't against the rules. If it is, my apologies.

Hi Sam,

Just had a looksie at your wip mini site and hope you don't mind me making a couple of pointers. First off, get your pages html valid as you code them, especially if you put on a link to the w3c validator, it's a really good practise to get into. The image tag width & height attributes should be plain integers - so you don't need "px".

If you're coding in HTML5, then you might as well start using some of the new tags available - for your site I'd suggest using <nav> to encapsulate your primary navigation elements, <article> for each "post" and the <header> & <footer> tags for defining what parts of the site are headers, footers etc. Check out: http://html5doctor.com/element-index/ for a bit more information on the new tags (and how the existing one's work in HTML5 mode).

Good luck!
