Wanted: metal genestealers!

I have a few I will probably never get to, what with all the plastic ones I have unpainted.
They were bought second hand and are poorly painted and a bit battered.
I\'ll check over the weekend to see exactly what I have.

I\'ve finally got around to painting up a brood for Space Hulk. Most of the genestealers I\'ve painted so far are the original Space Hulk minis, with a few of the Space Crusade genestealers thrown in for variety.
Got two of the original metal genestealers off Ebay recently (the ones with the plastic arms) and painted them up to vary the brood -- those figures are great! Lots of detail in comparison with the plastic minis, and, well, it\'s nice gaming with metal figures. They feel good in the hand.
Let me know if you dig them up, I\'ll be more than willing to trade or buy.

If you have a games workshop store near by, I mean like a place actually named Games Workshop, look through their classic catalouge, it doesn\'t cost a thing and you can order the old character models too! Its actually pretty useful, beats trying to find them on ebay, and you don\'t have to argue with someone, unless its over the catalouge. Just place your bits order for what you want, and wait about few days, and there ya go, metal genestealers.

None of the metal genestealer figures are longer available from GW online stores. A friend just got the old genestealer patriarch on throne figure through mail-order even though it isn\'t shown anywhere on their online store -- maybe the genestealers themselves are availabe. I\'ll check.
The genestealer hybrids were discontinued last year, though, and are no longer available from GW.

As EArkham said, you have to check the classic and specialist catalouge, the have all the old stuff in there, even the old Marneas Calgar. For Nids, the only special old character that they have that I remember (they have a ton!) is old one eye. He\'s pretty awesome, he looks way better than some of the new models. lol

I looked last night. Seems I have 3 metal genestealers. They have been poorly painted and poorly treated and I couldn\'t find the left arms for one of them. Still, if you want to trade I don\'t really need them. I don\'t mind my SpaceHulk set having all the same Genestealers since 3 doesn\'t really mix it up much anyway.
I don\'t think I have any hybrids, but I think I have some hybrid arms in my bitz box if you want those as well.

Actually, those Games Scenery round bases sound awesome. I don\'t know if you\'ve seen my gallery, but my space marines are on crap right now and need to be rebased. I\'ll switch this to PM.
