Looking nice dude. The blends are smooth which is a great start. But you need to add tiny white, crisp highlights on the mail and sharp almost white (but not quite) yellow/brown (which ever you\'re using) on the gold. Not along the whole length of the edges though, just in the middle (or wherever would reflect the most light). Also with the silver try to do a bit of shading with a really dark grey for better contrast which is imperative for nmm. Otherwise looks great man keep it up.
If anything could maybe dowith some slightly darker shading involved to really bring it to life.
Looking good though and as mentioned the key thing is you have got the blends lovely and smooth (the hardest part) colours come with practise and experimentation.
I would give the silver a very thin black wash for the shading and very light highlights on the edges for the contrast, it looks a little like stone at the moment. The Gold is excellent though.
Thanks for all the great replies.
Here\'s an update with the model so far. I did a light black wash on the silver and re-painted the red. I didn\'t like the orange. But let me know how it is so far.
Well, I haven\'t really had the urge to finish the mini, but I did progress somewhat....very slowly though. I haven\'t had the time or energy to paint recently, and beside, there are other mini\'s waiting for me.....
Just another mini I\'m working on. I\'m thinking about doing a unit of 12 and then selling it. Or even entering it at GD if you guys think it can do well. Let me know what you think.
Valten looks, on the lowest picture, not very goldish, the armor looks more like bone, not as vivid as the colors were on the first pictures, and i also preferred the orange-red :~(
Here is a close up of the Tau with some more work done to it. Sorry for the poor photos. I kind of rushed the images and I didn\'t use a photo booth thing.
Some other mini\'s I painted. Still need some finishing up to do.
