Granddad!
well some of you will have noticed I haven\'t moved the vallejos\' from ebay yet, as I\'ve got over 160 listings to move I\'m a little hesitant.

I haven\'t sold any snow on WM. Was this just a bad product choice? Have I set the WM store up wrong?

Is anyone else using WM?
Selling?
Buying?

Erm...What is WM? A special selling provider? also i noticed that on your ebay auctions your using auctiva. How does this compare to the normal ebay store? I\'m after getting a store on the go and wondered what would be the best choice.

well in fairness I\'d never seen it before...doh... I will be buying the snow stuff (hopefully tomorrow..damn customers slow paying up)
I\'d like some paints as well am I best at the Paragon link???

Ahhh okay so i did a little reading up about auctiva...It seams to have a far cheaper and efficient service than the ebay selling set-up. So i suppose what i should be asking is. What makes the ebay selling service better than auctiva? sorry to go of topic.

ebay has more customers t the moment, which is why more people still sell on it klaus.

the charges for sellers are putting people off tho and more people are selling at places likes wargamers market and ebid.

yeah, what Chris said ;) my fees are around £30 a month, and that\'s before I even sell anything :(
don\'t think the Auctiva has made all that difference, it was free, so.....:shrug: it\'s made it easier to find the ebay store, its just www.paragonminiatures.com now with auctiva
The plus I see for Wargames Market is, well, it\'s in the name, it\'s what we paint (mostly) so you are selling/buying to similar like minded individuals (hopefully)

@demonherald: Yeah ebay for the paints for now, till I migrate everything over. Probably leave that till after Xmas as WM are currently working on a bulk lister.
Should also have some leaves in the Wargames Market store by the end of the week :D

...and the eBay store is now closed
I want to do a stock check then I\'ll gradually start adding the VMC to WM

I have it bookmarked but I\'m not in need of things for bases right now. I have a huge thing of woodland scenics snow. I might be interested in the paint but now cash for extras right now becasue of christmas. I think that might be a bit of what you\'re running into right now.

Know that this isn\'t a rap on you, but I was immediately turned off by their starting page colors: Orange, black, red, blue, and green. And to add to that, the red was a giant anti-eBay banner talking about reducing the sellers margins. As a seller, why would I want that?

After a reload, a blue banner again bashing eBay. It feels very anti-buyer, and appears to be a seller\'s site. It is a little political advice, but upbeat and optimistic usually beat animosity.

Right now, I\'m able to find lots of inexpensive stuff on eBay, and lots to choose from. As a buyer, I don\'t see a lot of reason to change. It sucks when I sell something, but I know enough to get things sold.


I\'m still curious to see what happens to the site. Maybe it\'ll refine itself over time. Just my $0.02, which is what, half that in euros? EDIT: I think its double. I\'m tired.

@PegaZus: I think the point they\'re trying to make is that sellers can sell at a lower price on WM, as there are less fees, overheads if you like, to cover.
There\'s no final value fee for starters, so that\'s at least 10% less

that\'s why I was able to reduce the price of the snow,
