I can't see GW ever releasing new mini's and rules for the HH era. It's already been done (ages ago) and I'm sure I've heard/read somewhere that GW are "looking forward" to try and push the timeline on. I think what would be a good seller though is if they released some of the other Space Marine armour variants - however Forgeworld does sell sets of all the different marks currently and there hasn't been a lap over of what GW and FW sell for some time...
I think the series is great and agree that one author would have perhaps kept a better flow, even if it were one author for each set of plots (e.g. the first three books should have just had one author to set the level for the rest).
I'm looking forward to when they do the fight between Horus and the Emperor as the old William King story of the same fight was (in my opinion) very good. Mind you I'm currently highly amused as I was given some classic books for my birthday and Christmas last year - Dark Angels coming from Native American style tribes and being allowed to return to there home world when it is in danger
