I\'m in the process of installing this... It looks pretty good from the stuff I\'ve seen.

Is anyone else playing it? Any suggestions for a good EU realm?

Don\'t pick a high pop server I\'m on Karak-Hirn prime time theres queues of 1 hour+ to get on.
And if you can play Order they has less wait times to log in and to play in the instanced pvp battle grounds.

I really want to play it but I do not have time  I want to have a squig herder sooooo bad!!! School just takes up too much of my time. If you guys have space in your account make a squig herder and name it Aliengod3 in my honor :)

You can find me as Baltazar a Warrior Priest on Magnus.

Was going to play Destruction on Pheonix Throne but the wait times are over an hour, so will be making a new Dest. Character somewhere else.

i can\'t believe they have wait times for an online game that people have paid to play.

Stupid isn\'t it, is it a waiting time to actually log onto the server and get playing or is it waiting times for battlegrounds?

Though tbh if the game is anything similar to wow then its only getting players used to the waiting times you\'ll encounter when raiding.

Would you really expect anything less from GW? As long as they are making money they could care less about how it affects customers.

to be fair, it isn\'t gw that is running it.
they have only given permision for another company to put it develop it and run it.
they are only getting royalties from it, so blaiming them for any problems with the game play etc isn\'t realy on.

the world is going to end with me defending gw lol

Thanks Generul for beating me to the punch I would have been somewhat less civil than you. I can\'t stand ignorant insults against GW. There are plenty of legitimate criticisms out there but WAR is purely the responsibility of EA and Mythic Entertainment.

Overall I think they are doing a great job. The game is a lot of fun. Mechanics are pretty basic but it\'s very true to the spirit of Warhammer and the quests and pvp are seamlessly integrated for a very immersive experience. It seems way less artificial than WoW and my old favorite Guild Wars.

I\'m mostly on Middenheim playing my White Lion named Luscious. Send me a tell if you like, just be sure to say who you are :D

The wait times are caused by too many folks trying to get into the same place at the same time, just like IRL. \"Nothing draws a crowed like a crowd\". It\'s their own damn fault for waiting when other realms are available. \"But my friends are on that realm\" be damned. : ) Make some new friends.

Crafting sucks. PvP/RvR is good. The Skaven skin cloak from Games Days is rad. Witch Hunters are a lot of fun. Be sure to take off all of your armor/clothes and click on all of the NPCs in a city until you get the title \"Flirt\". ; )

Crafting is boring as hell in every game I\'ve ever seen try it. WAR has an interesting solution to the problem: making crafting completely confusing and unrewarding so that you\'re not tempted to try.

It\'s easier this way :D

You are right, my comment does sound ignorant. But tell that to the old GW boss I had in 2004 that said it to me ;) :moon:

In GW\'s defense I will add that their management is alot better than it used to be. I speak only for the ones on the west coast of California. Perhaps the ones in Europe have always been very professional and compassionate about their customers.

Still enjoying this one. Reminds me of a perfect mix of WoW and Guild Wars, right down the middle. Enjoying the public quests the most at the moment.

Still say I don\'t mind paying per month for a game that changes, that\'s constantly being updated and that constantly improves. It beats paying $60 for a game that is broken, or that you beat in 6 hours, or that has so many issues you quit after 2 hours. Plus overall I spend less money on PC games now that I play MMO\'s as they are more engaging, I buy maybe 3 games a year now when it used to be 3 a month.

With it only just having come out, it\'s a bit buggy but they are updating and patching all the time. Despite this, it is great fun and I would recommend it. I think a guild would be a cracking idea.

Thoroughly enjoying Warhammer Online myself, having played many different MMO\'s over the years. For me it has less gripes than other games have had, the programers have obviously spent a bit of time identifying things that annoy them in other games and tried to not make the same mistake. The multiple different facets to the game (PvE, RvR, etc) as pretty cool as is the group feature. The atmosphere of the game is the Warhammer world to a tee, though there isn\'t enough variety on starting classes (they dropped 6 in total before the game release).

Crafting is not so much pointless as not as game enhancing as in other MMO\'s. If you are playing a class that can\'t heal then scavaging and alchemy are good for making healing and strength potions. Talismans and other potions give you a slight advantage but nothing major.

I think that what\'s impressed me the most is that even at level 1 you feel like you\'re actually playing the game and not doing newbie quests.

I\'m currently on the Makaisson server (EU) and have an Ironbreaker and Warrior Priest - priest is amazing in PvP!
