I\'m not entirely happy with the way Kev came out. For some reaon he went very grainy when I was painting. I wonder if it was the paints, the primer or me? Probably the last one! lol Still, I think he\'s amusing and I hope he brightens somebodies day.
Thanks for the crits about the shifting stones, too. To make the snow, I mixed GF9 snow flock with Woodland Scenics realistic water and blobbed it on where I wanted it (mostly in the centre, see below). Then I sprinkled more snow on top and left it to dry. Once it had, I painted white glue around the edges to make the snow look like it was wet/melting. I\'ve made bases like this for some of my other Circle minis- rocks surrounded by lava and topped with melting snow. At least it\'ll be distinctive!
I guess if I wanted to make them look hotter at the bottom, I\'d have to make the black/brown bits smaller, for a start. I didn\'t go all the way up to pure white either, so that might be it too. Freak, I do wish there was more of a transition, it would help it look better. I just ran out of room! lol
