Hey everyone,

I am working on the infamous wet nurse. Have some beginning WIP shots. This mini is definitely unique and has some features I am not used to painting, like breasts, but I get plenty of practice Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions for the painting. Thanks!

Man! That is a weird model...
I heard of the wet nurse, but never saw it before; not what I expected at all.

So far so good, boobs look well blended, nice and round. Must be a pain to paint tho, a lot better when you get only two at a time, but i guess it's a matter of preferences

Thanks for the feedback. Any thoughts you may have on what would make the painting better are always appreciated. I would like to have this mini get a high rating but I find it hard to critique my own minis to make them better.

Glad you like the colors. The look of the mini is inspired by this HR Giger work.

The colour choice is great, very ALIEN esque. Dont like the model though but thats my opinion. Will be watching as im thinking of doing some tyranids that colour now (damn you alein god, iv enough to do!!)

That's a strong start Aliengod :good: Inspiration for my Carrion Crawler indded, thank you Second pic down, top row of breasts, left hand ones nipple looks as though it could be neatened on the left edge. Same for the second row, second from left.

Kidding. Looking cool, the grey/green works surprisingly well. It'd be cooler still if it was reeeally dark to the grey/green sheen kina like the inspiration you posted. There's no mistaking the entirely Giger-esque influence on this thing so I reckon it'd look brilliant. Lets just hope this thread doesn't turn into another "PC" debate ><

I have to echo the sentiment that the greenish-grays look very good. I guess you didn't get the limited edition with the women? This will definitely let you get used to painting breasts. It also reminds me of the SouthPark where everyone is "Cheesing"

Thanks for the comments! Glad the greenish grays are well received.

@Gohkm: The colors are base of catachan green. Highlighted with vallejo ice yellow and reaper creamy ivory. The creamy ivory helps desaturate the highlights giving them a bit of a gray look.

@Kathie: This is the LE version I am holding off on the ladies until later. Same with all of the extra arms on the wet nurse... same with the "pen15" tail too

Whaddya mean you don't like it?! It has a fecking penis for a tail! The only thing that would make it slightly more awesome is if it had a laser strapped to its head. Seriously, if I had no idea of basic human anatomy, and I had to draw a diagram in an exam, this would be it. I'd probably give myself nightmares later, but it'd be worth the bonus points.

Hop too, AG, chop chop! I wanna see how this pans out.

at this stage, i honestly do think its a pretty neat mini. i think some of the other stuff is a bit overboard, you know the raped chicks and the tentacle-penis'es. still, i agree it will be very interresting to see how it turns out

Not a fan of the model at all. Not for any political or prudish reason, but mostly because it just looks like there is no coherent thought to it, just stuff stuck on. It does make one creepy ass demon though!

But, this paint job does work well. I'd really be interested in seeing if this saves the model for me.
