because fredy wasn\'t, if this was the mini that placed then there has been some foul play.

i only thought i recognised because of (a) fredys style and (b) it was on ebay not to long ago.

Are you sure that it is this specific mini? I definately saw a version of that concept art but not sure it was the same. And the end of the auction was 17sept... might be a bit too close in time for shipping to have arrived.. he hasn\'t got any feedback on it yet.

If there is foul play, hopefully he\'ll be caught and shamed like at a couple of the recent US GDs. To be honest, though it\'s a very nice mini, I don\'t think it would be good enough to take a trophy anyway...

all i remember is seeing this as well as adrian bays marneus, then at the awards hearing marneus calgar. (next year i\'m going to have to get more than 1 hours sleep before)

it\'s not good that people are still trying to cheat tho, especialy with all of the painting forums nowadays.

I know for 100% that AdieBadie\'s Marneus won Bronze in Large Scale category. Because I watched him run up the stage to receive his award!

This mini was NOT in the comp. I certainly didn\'t see it.

As someone else said, there was a version based on the same piece of artwork in the open category, sculpted at a pretty large scale (the figure would have stood 100mm/120mm high?), but the pose was different (both hands down, not pointing or arms up) so it definitely wasn\'t this piece.

I certainly looked in the cabinets just before close of registration and didn\'t notice two versions on this theme in the comp.

Oh, and I didn\'t think the one that WAS in the comp won anything anyway? Did it?

Yes this was not the piece in the GD.

That one followed the concept art very closely and was a great bit of work, I had a good look at it.

I can also verify that tis model was not the one that was at golden demon.

There was one based on the same piece of art in the open. This was a large scale and scratchbuilt. I was very shocked as it was a nice piece but never made the final cut.
