Twenty Six inches in height (roughly 64 cm) current level of the Eldar Titan.

Panels have been been glued to the hips via Araldite
Torso has the wings glued, 3 days work on that.
Currently the shoulder pads are just held by blu-tack and the Head connects via magnets.
I'm struggling to work out how to get the Weapon Arms to attach at the moment but that could well end up a case of both Brass rod and Magnets.

Maybe it's just the lighting,.. but the chest green seems off. The legs/waist/face areas come across as an olive drab/camo green/hunter green. But that chest piece appears more,.. yellowish/limey as compared to all the others. Not sure if this is intentional? Or just a trick of the light? (Just wanted to point it out in case you hadn't noticed) otherwise,.. excellent work, as always.

I've got to Dullcoate the figure and then re-gloss all the gems this weekend.
My lovely, sweet, darling, precious wife has just pointed out that while the figure's almost complete, I still have the base to finish.

Completely useless with anything supposed to grow, even managed to kill off an indestructible office plant my (then) manager gave me.
Having, glued the lower shoulder pads in place I'm trying to work out how to locate the arms in the sockets with brass rod "pins", worst part I'm going to need two pins per arm to stop 'droop'. Magnets aren't going to hold the weight, unless they're the size of my big toe. Even been looking around for washer style magnets as an option.
I have to admit this bit is giving me nightmares due to the complexity of the design, really want to slap the guys who designed it, stupid, stupid ideas with no practicality for assembly.

Got to say mike that is looking excellent! I think it is your best by a country mile.
The arms I don't know the surface area of the arm which touches onto the body but one possible solution would be not only pin it with brass rod but araldite a piece of course grade sandpaper to each surface and then glue the two sections together with more araldite so as to give it a very rough surface for the glue to adhere to. I don't know how useful that tip is without seeing the surfaces the other much simpler solution would be to cross hatch score the two surfaces too join together to yet again give a rough surface for the glue. This is quite novice stuff though and I'm sure you've thought of them.

Andy, goodtip about the sandpaper, but the owner needs/wants the arms dis-mountable.
Still considering a magnet addition to the pins, just how is the question I'm pondering.

There are some very strong neodymium magnets out there you could counter sink them into the body and put a strong one there as there would be sufficient space in the arm pit? If that's the right word for a Titan and then do the same with the arm but a smaller diameter magnet. How this would work to stop sagging is you could glue a ratchet ring to both the arm going around the magnet and the arm pit around the magnet so the teeth lock together stopping it sagging. In fact bugger the magnet just pin it and then put a ratchet ring around it.

Hahahaha well then you got a really nice patterns there, with natural looking grow. I mean they do not look forced nor artificial.
On the pinning issue, all I can imagine is a locating a nice and strong magnet, alongside a pin. Being the pin glued just to the arm, and inserting the other side of the pin without glue to the body of the avatar so the magnet keeps things in place and the pin can stop the sliding of the arm.
That's what I've ended up doing.
2mm brass rod as pin 10x2mm on the arm, 10x3mm in the socket.
Had to have an emergency trip down to Element games to get the magnets. :eyeroll!::innocent: (Me buy anything else while I was there.....)
In hindsight (which of course is always perfect) I should have glued the two lower shoulder pads together and not put them onto the torso, and drilled from the inside, which will be hidden, outward. Would have made the job easier. Who's a dumbass, Dodds?
Can't get those sections off either as the Araldite is Rock hard.

Truely, since I started making models way back in the 1960's I've never ever encountered a more badly designed kit. The designers want to be taken out and slapped around with a rancid kipper!
I am so glad it's finished, but I'm also concerned that the arms/weapons won't hold with the pin and magnet assembly I've had to concoct.
Proof of the pudding etc.. is when I take it to the owner tomorrow.

Just missing the wind blowing some banner behind to make it even more epic!
On the other hand, it is just too beautiful to play with it because it looks like a piece of art coming from the "Art Deco" decade.
Hat's off for your patience and dedication to this project! on the other hand I am pretty sure you will be super happy to change to other things xD
