water effect?

please forgive me if someone has already asked this question, but what can i use to make a cool spilling water or drool effect? is there a clear polymer or resin that pours thick enough to create long strings of "fluid"? if so, would it be best to use some fishing line or something to make a frame/brace?

The drool on the ork head on my Emp. Champion: (http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics2/img3e53efea8b2bd.jpg) was done by Woodland scenic's Water effects. It's a bit more gel- like than other resin water products, and I just made a line on some plastic, took it off then glued it on. You can use fishing line for extra stability, but if you're doing a bigger waterfall effect, I suggest putting it on something like cling-wrap for stability. Hope this helps! :D

Drool is easily done with cheap all purpose glue (in the UK the UHU brand works perfectly). If you put a blob out onto a pallet and let it start to dry you can pull strings of it with a cocktail stick.

Yeah, MassiveVoodoo had a tutorial about using UHU. Depending on the look you want that might be the best option. They show the effect mixed with different colors (red or green). If you don't add any paint it will be clear (probably what you're going for). Here's the link:

You can find UHU online (amazon is a good start). Make sure you get the version with the black cap.

wow, thanks for the response, everyone! im not even sure what i want to use this for... i just recently bought a huge cache of GW orc/gob pieces with a giant, dragon, some old stone trolls and a bunch of other crap so i want to start experimenting with different stuff. ill start posting as i get further into my process.

Woodland Scenes has some water effects kits, $10 at Michaels before $40 coupon. Good luck, and practice making some bases first!
