Oh man, this made a lot of noise. But the scariest part is that it\'s not an isolated exemple, and here the term used for rotates is \'somewhat\' scientifical and probably is the reason why most people answered wrong. But I have seen things where people have no excuse.

My favorit one to date is how long does the earth take to go around the sun ? 24 hours, 36 days, 365 days. Out of 101 personne on the show, 57 answered wrong. No excuse for this one. Stupidity is everywhere !!!

And if a French guy takes a jab at you saying that most American don\'t know the french president, ask him who the swiss president is. Chances are he will not know. Then you can point out that swiss is a neighbouring country to france, will france is 6000 kilometers away from the US and way smaller :D
I get to practice these thing a lot, anti-american are a lot of fun around here. Just like anti-french people in the US might I say :p

Well, I dunno if it was the translation or not, but \"rotate\" isn\'t quite the correct word to use. \"Revolve\" would be more correct. The context of the question is, however, quite telling.

But hey, I still don\'t know who shot John Kennedy.

I got it to work...oh deary me. Mind you, I think I\'ve seen a worse example, not of audience ignorance but a contestant. Unfortunately I don\'t have a clip to show. It was on an old gameshow here in the UK called 3-2-1. The question was something like \"Who wrote Beethoven\'s fifth symphony?\" There were two couples as contestants and neither of them answered it correctly. The audience was laughing, thge host was laughing and the contestants just didn\'t get it. There answers were \"was it Mozart?\" and such like.
