Weapon Plattform - need feedback

Well, I'll give purple a chance. Quite rare color, but could make a good contrast. Reminds me... I should update the picture :p

I'm currently working on an Eldar Swooping Hawk, a not all that bright, but more nightly darker pattern.
I'm just not knowing what color I should give to the face-mask on the helmet and especially the eyes. I don't wanna go too bright though, but I've been thinking of red mask, red tubes and yellow eyes to create more contrast. I've also been thinking of a light-gray mask, but I fear that it might be too bright to fit the rest of the model. The other plates of the armour shall receive reflection-points as on the shoulder-plate and head (most right picture shows it). I hate the colors I'm using, the blue is a very glossy color, but ofc I can't varnish it yet, so you gotta live with the sun's reflections on many of the blue parts ;)

That's the current status:

I also have been thinking to keep the weapon in pattern with the armor, so make the big plates red, the riffles blue and the rest gray, as in this photoshop-sketch:

What do you think? Maybe you have even ideas or suggestions about entirely different parts?
Thanks for hints and comments!

I think a light grey mask could be good, with red tubes and green glowing eyes with an OSL all around them to help focusing on the mask especially with the kind of armour you're painting.

Ah well, I'm not a friend of OSL... :/ ... dunno, it always looks weird to me. And afterall eyes are there to input light, not to output it :p Would you make them green, even if not with OSL? Or then more yellow to have a better contrast?

I'd be inclined to consider a yellow mask. It looks beak shaped, and being a Hawk an all. Throwing another primary colour on could make it look a bit Fisher Price were it not for all the darkness. A yellow fading to black through dark browns could tie in to the contrast on the rest of the mini. Going extra fancy, fading to brown at the top but fading to a black tip like a real beak could be groovy.

The red does work on the gun. Very bold and striking. Though I wonder how it'd look rendered in a plain wraithbone colour.

I do like that blue. I've often favoured a Regal to Enchanted blue myself for that juicyness.

Bone... Well, that isn't anything of what I would have thought so far. But that could work. Maybe even when applying it to the mask as well.
Would be something like that:

I really like it. It's not that hefty as the red.
