airhead

Coffin Dodger / Keymaster
Check out Fine Scale Modeler. Those guys are heavy into WW2 dioramas and can make a tank look battle weary in a hurry.

wall compound in the treads for mud (premix paint into the compound). Chips of paint at wear areas, black grease streaks at grease points (hinges, turrets, etc.) Dark or earth colored discolorations where the crew walks, busted lights, etc..

Weathering vehicles is complex buisness, the ebst advice I can give you is to go to www.missing-lynx.com , the site for high quality military models, all big pros from this field (Bannermann, Zaloga, Jiminez) have their stuff to be seen on this site. There are alos some good articles.
An other advise I can give you is to keep your eyes open, aold containers, bulldozers and such are all heavily weathered by mother nature and give you good picture of the effect you wnat to achieve. Here a photo I mase in an open air museum to show what you should look for:

Hope this helps.
