Sheet lead.
Get some lead that you use for roofing from a DIY store. It\'s very thin (only a few mm thickness) and can be cut easily with scissors.
You can cut it to base size and it\'s extremely heavy.
(I now expect painters to climb onto their local church roofs to get some free.)
