Well, it's been a while...

I haven't done much painting for a while. Coming up on a decade, I think.
But this hobby always seems to call us back, doesn't it?
I don't know if even the old-timers will remember me, as I sort of faded in and out a lot, even at my most active.
Been through some things, like everyone. Surviving. Staying strong.
So, hi again. I'll post some work as I actually get it done, and you can all mock me for how out of practice I am. :)

Of course we remember :) Glad to see you back the CMON forums aren't so active right now but I hope it will become more active as people tire of the social media giants. :)

Envious of MY skills? Dude, I used a lot of yours as references for colours. Thanks, though.

Aaaand, I need to get new glasses to be able to continue with the hobby. I'm old. My eyes can't see the details on the minis.
On the bright side, my hands are still steady and can steer the brush pretty well.
Got a paint shaker and a butt-load of agitators to slowly restore my dried and hardened paints to something resembling liquid.

PROGRESS! :D

How is everything now?

I am so glad I found this thread. My family talked me into running a D&D campaign (again). Had to paint some minis.
Old paints are gelled or solid. Had to buy a new set.
Also had to update my glasses and lighting.

Cranked out a couple of tabletop worthy characters. Now I'm working on my old stockpile of monsters for them.

I've finally gotten myself able to buy new glasses (as soon as the cheque clears), and as soon as I have them, I'm getting back to
the painting. Got a paint shaker to try to revive my paints, and have been running it on my most-used colours.
And if I have to buy more paints, I'll do that.

Also.... AIRHEAD!!! Another painter I took a lot of advice from. Good to see you.

My big goal is painting a bunch of big dragons. Trying to find myself that brilliant CMON dragon, Caul the Implaccable, I think it was called.
My dream paint. But, failing that, there's lots of other good sized ones out there, and my nigh-endless stockpile, as well.

Sitting on about 400 unpainted and 2-300 unfinished WIPs. I found my old boxes during this years' spring clean.

Finally have my new glasses. Getting used to them (transitions), but will be trying to finish a WIP I started ages ago as my first
'getting back to it' project. It's a honkin' big demon, packaging long lost, and name of it completely forgotten.
I'll post a pic of it in the WIP section tonight or tomorrow, and if anyone can identify it, I'll be grateful.
