What exactly is wet blending i\'m curious to know because i would like a go at it. It sounds very complex and that drives me further towards things.

The basic idea is that you blend to colours into each other while still wet on the mini. This works well for basic shading and highlighting on larger areas, prefarably smooth ones (but not necessarily), like cloaks or robes or similar. You put on one colour first and then you put the other on next to or on top of the still wet paint of the first colour. Then, by moving the brush back and forth you gently mix them together until you have a smooth transition.

As you probably understand, this takes quite a bit of practice to be able to do well, but once you master it it\'s a very fast way to create smooth blends.

When I used to wet-blend I would mix a little extender into the paint in order to help it say fluid until I could get the second color into the mix.

Sometimes a layer or two of a higher highlight will help after the wetblending is done.

Another form of blending with wet paint is feathering where you take a second brush and have only one color and fade the edge into the underlying color. I\'ve been trying it and it actually seems to work with slightly thicker paint better (I don\'t really know why though) it\'s tricky but some of the experts out there acheive beutiful results with it in just one or two layers of highlighting.
