wet blending

Dangerous when wet
I may just not be searching right, but has anyone done a tutorial on wet blending? I\'ve got the hang of feathering, but I could really do with a step-by-step on wet blending too...any chance?

There may very well be some useful info out there, but IMO, wet blending is better shown than explained. I have tried numerous times to explain in writing how I do wet blending, but it always end up in a confused mess.

It\'s easy to give a very brief and general description of the idea (but I suspect you\'re already familiar with the basic concept of the technique), but I find it very hard to describe the actual process in detail. It involves so many intuitive elements that you hardly even think about while you paint.

The best thing would be to find a video tutorial, I think. I\'m not aware of any, though.

I\'m sure there wil be someone at either salute, or the next platoon meet up who could take you aside and show you the basics..

It is in french but I think, you will see something about the technique.

I hope it helps.

Hot leads dvd really only covers feathering.. everything he says is this.. is usually just going to end up being feathering.. for the wet blending section al he does is lay down a layer of basecoat in the shadow.. then apply a highlight and feather together quite crudely.. the end result he comes up with kinda looks like crap.. but oh well!

The BEST wet blending dvd i have seen is Jeremie Bonamont\'s dvd. The section on wet blending there is quite amazing, and he makes it look like childs play. He kinda slaps paint on a model and moves his brush around. and what looked like crap all of a sudden turns into AMAZING! so yah, You may want to check that out.
