Wet palette

The Society for All Artists (sometimes refered to as Slap it All About) have produced their own Wet Palette.
I thought I'd flag it up for anyone who's interested.

I'll be looking at it specifically at the Manchester SAA event on 9th Feb, so I might end up with one myself.

Thanks for this, I use the 'stay wet' papers on a plastic sheet, it's okay but I haven't used it in a while.

A more usable storable version would be good.

Mike would you please ask about mold problems ….. I'm in a high desert and the one wet palette I use isn't really very air tight so if I don't paint for several days the paper is black with mold.

Put a penny in the water...add a drop of vinegar, bleach, dish soap to the water...use distilled/purified water and don't breathe on the palette or lick the brushes. Any and/or all of those options should help with mold. Who makes the thing won't change anything, they're all made of the same stuff as far as mold and bacteria is concerned.

While I would normaly blindly trust a recomendation by Dragonsreach, I cannot figure out what this thing does what a lunchbox, some paper towel and backing paper can`t achieve?

It's got a significantly thinner profile than most lunch boxes and containers (so the edge doesn't get in the way as much in use and when closed there's even less air drying out the paint) and the supplies (paper/parchment and sponge/paper towel) generally work a little better, last a little longer than the stuff from your kitchen. As is the case with most wet palettes. I've got a couple of the Masterson Mini's, sometimes I don't even use them, I just grab a paper towel and a piece of parchment, for me, the difference isn't very noticeable, but for others, it seems to be, so, mileage varies and probably depends on brand.
