Nah got sniped Sunday Night. :p Didn\'t bother whinging about it, as it\'s been balanced out now. Got a nice comment which counts, even though it\'s not my greatest of painting I still like it. :)

I for one think that whether it is kit bashing or sculpting with green stuff or self hardening (himself) or babel my a** fish or miscommunication, whatever, it is still CHEATING if he didn\'t earn the scores from legitimate CMON users. And being a believer in Kharma, I hope that it comes around sooner than later, and I am not just talking about Borg straightening the score. And I can\'t believe that in five pages, there have been no Polish jokes.
Must be an American thing.

Oh well, here\'s to the people who should have been on the top 10 last 7 , your reward is coming soon.

? Considering this is an international site, I am not sure why there should have been Polish jokes, or why that \"must be an American thing\'? The only way Robius being Polish factors in as far as I can see is that he doesn\'t seem to speak English well and so this whole thing may be hard for him to understand.

While Future Wax is a handy tool for thinning down paints, there\'s not so much room for jokes about it. It\'s also technically a floor finish rather than a polish.

Well I was courious what Robius himself would say about the whole case. I`ve tried to contact him and I succeded. I haven`t received any kind of explanation on strange scores (he only said he does not know anything about it ??? ).
He said something interesting about his models though. According to him the ones posted on CMON are already resign casted. That would explain the mould lines and if the proper resign was used the colour.
Well I`m really curious is it true? If they are really kitbashed from he-man toys could anyone post this toys pics (or at least provide direct links to them)? That would be great. If I don`t find any convincing pics I will personally assume he sculpted the minis himself.
But it still leaves the voting mystery unsolved ;) .....

P.S. some comments about people from Poland are starting to be extremely offensive. Don`t talk about us all judgeing from just this case. If you need a proof from a miniature world that we`re not like that just look at the feedback polish painting studios have. And please be more careful about your comments in the future.

Well, I showed the pics to a buddy of mine, and he said he had the axe and the chest, on a He-man doll that his son has. I asked him to take a pic and post it here, but he\'s a bit slow... ;) I do recall earlier in this thread someone mentioning that they had the gun as well.

I think this (in addition to the voting fiasco) is what annoyed so many here--he\'s claiming he sculpted everything from scratch, when in fact he\'s kitbashing. I have nothing against kitbashing. I do have a problem, though, when someone claims that they\'ve sculpted everything from scratch, when in fact they\'ve kitbashed. (I don\'t think I\'m alone in this feeling, either...)

I also have a problem with OBVIOUS vote stuffing. Sorry, but none of those were in the 9.2 to 9.5 score range IMO. Some of the terrain is quite good, but even if he had have sculpted the other things, they didn\'t \"fit\" together well, and the pics are FAR too small to warrant scores that high.

If you are referring to me, that was sarcasm. I know that prejudice about polish people being thiefs is stupid and untrue, just as we Germans are not all Neo-Nazis. That is what I wanted to say, offending you was definitely never intended ;)

There appears to be a serious misunderstanding here.

No one has made any derogatory comments about Poland or Polish people. The only possible \'offender\' was making an attempt at being \'tongue-in-cheek\' regarding the previous comments. His intent was humorous...but possibly misunderstood.

Rest assured, no slight has been intended or given.

ok..so if one were to kitbash..which is what i do when im bored and not glued to the table.....
what should i lable it? do i put scratchbuilt then in the section wher i write about it put kitbashes and the pieces i used?

\'Other\' or \'scratchbuilt\' is fine, I would think, so long as you aren\'t claiming to have sculpted the thing yourself. :)

It\'s not the category so much (there\'s really only \'scratchbuilt\' and \'greens\' that could apply), but, as Darthfoley says, it\'s the description. Basically, if you kitbash, that\'s great, and it is no problem to list those under \'scratchbuilt\' for the category, but in your description you should NOT claim to have sculpted everything from pure greenstuff (and \"other self-hardening plastics\"), but say you kitbashed it.

Kitbashing is cool, and there\'s definitely some talent involved for those who do it well. I don\'t see it as inferior or anything like that to \"true sculpting;\" as far as I\'m concerned, they\'re just different kinds of art, and should be judged on their own merits.
