I just wanted to share my weekend with you guys (and gals).
I've really had the absolute greatest weekend of my entire life.
it all started on valentines day, when my ex-gf told me she'd take me to a Covenant concert. at that time, one of the best presents i'd ever gotten, but it gets better
ever since we broke up last october, we've both had a lot of heartbreak, over the last 2 weeks, me ex and i have had a couple of talks and things were starting to go a bit better.
this saturday was the day of the concert.
And I've had the time of my life, I still can't wipe the smile off my face.
the concert itself was great, even though the sound wasn't perfect.
during the concert itself our (my ex is bi) eye was drawn to one of the most beautifull girls i'd ever seen, and we started talking.
after the concert, we kept talking and enjoying ourselves.
until the manager of the band asked us if we'd like to get backstage and meet the band.
That was when the real rush started.
The rest of the evening was a pure rush of utter excitement.
we had a couple of drinks with the band, smoked a joint.
we talked to all the bandmembers, and the managers, and generally had the time of our lives.
My ex even being offered to spent the night in the singers hotel room.
Greatest thing of all was her answer: "You know what, you put us on the guestlist for tomorrow, and we'll see then."
priceless...
of course, this did bring the expectation to be there the next day too
although this gig was 250km away XD
driving home got us horribly lost, we went the wrong way 5 times in a row, on the same street...
we took the beautiful girl to a station, and put her on a train home.
I then brought my ex home, it was about 03:15 by then, but we spent the next 1,5 hours just talking an having a picnic (yes, an actual, in-car picnic at 4 in the morning, poring rain...) and a great time.
we talked about our feelings for each other, since we broke up, and came to the conclusion that we still love each other a lot, and want to be a very special part of each others life. I've decided I want her to be my best friend, and just have fun with her.
I finaly gave her a goodnight kiss at 4:45 and was in bed at 5.
but lets not forget sunday.
after a lot of last minute decision to go to the concert, we left home 1 hour late.
we just made the start of the concert though.
the concert itself was even better then saturday. both in music and crowd.
and ofcourse, after the show, the manager recognised us, and we had a second backstage experience, which once again saw the ladies heaped in attention.
driving home took ages, but my ex kept me awake, but by talking and singing along with the radio and by the promise she'd spent the night.
after such a weekend, what could possible top it all?
well, my ex had another surprise for me.
my monday was to be spent in bed, with breakfast in bed (provided by the ex), more good talks and lots of loving and cuddling. we didn't get out of bed until 4
I still can't believe all this happened to me.
I still cant wipe that smile of my face.
better go and sleep it off, before it passes my ears.
and sorry for the long post, I've left some parts out, but I just can't stop thinking and talking about is.
sleep tight,
Mourner
