i prefer video game music - age of wonders 2, akira, Bushido Blade 2 Original Soundt, metal gear 1 2, warcraft 3, bout 300 titles with only the tracks i like left (1-5 tracks per title). i cant handle normal classical music, just a bit too dreary or uninspired. and if i hear jazz i dive for my storm bolter :flame: come up blazin!

I too have a strange liking for Metal Gear Solid soundtrack, but my fave at the moment is the soundtrack from Silent Hill 2.... awesome.:bouncy:

When I\'m in the mood for music it\'s usually something like Rush, Queensryche, Metallica, etc.

Recently acquired a clock that generates different sounds (its meant to be used as white noise to put you to sleep) and it will do waves crashing on a beach, a waterfall and crickets (which is as annoying as hell.)

Cheers,
Grumb:cool:

Shudder! You have a clock that makes the noise of crickets?!??? I hate the noise of crickets (especially when theres a noisy one in my Gecko\'s tank and he can\'t be bothered to eat it).

I generally have the TV on as background noise. UK styke or something mindless like that.

The cricket thing on the clock is annoying, but it is fun to torment the cats with.... on..off...on...off...lol

Sad bastard that I am....

When I do actually paint, or do anything that needs total concentration, I find you can\'t beat extremely loud Yes, Hendrix, Floyd, Eminem, Santana, Stevie Nicks, Radio 2, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Paul Weller or any one of a few hundred other bands I can\'t quite recall at the moment:D

(Along with game soundtracks mentioned above).

Hmm, Think this one has been around a couple of times, but what the hell. Floyd, Tull, Rush, The Beatles, Meatloaf, Queen, Billie Holliday, Swing, Big Band, The History Channel, The Food Network, Law and Order (in as many of its permutations as possible) the dogs barking outside, and whatever else happens to be going on at the time.

It all depends on the Mini! If it is a \'battle action\' mini something hard - Thrill Kill Kult, Nine inch Nails, KMFDM, RevCo etc,
For Wizards and spellcasters - This Mortal Coil, Dead can dance, Black tape for a blue girl,, Cocteau twins.
For Demons and demigods - Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Cult, Souixsie.

Right now I\'m painting a Succubus to Mazzy Star

Hmmm, Jethro Tull, Afrocelt, ABBA, Dido, Blues Traveller, Queen, Weird Al, Duran Duran, 80\'s Pop, Monkeys, Cartoon Network (I have a 7 year old), Enya, cat wanting dinner and attention, History Channel, Discovery Channel, my daughter wanting dinner and attention, and when I paint at the store and the music ends and I can\'t stop painting to get up and press play on the CD player, I listen to players doing Creepy Freaks, 40K, army jokes, pizza orders and car/computer talk. A few years ago we got some of the old radio shows on tape and we played them. Fun stuff out there.

I just chill listening to P. Diddy. It helps me get my paint on.

HA! just kidding! what kind of name is P. Freakin Diddy?

I listen to various mostly older punk bands and some heavier stuff but I like pretty much anything except stupid music and country which is stupid music.:|~
