What are you painting now?

Trevor

Brushlicker and Freak!
I\'m looking at my desk and it\'s filling up with half finished stuff, I currently have:

1 old school Jez Goodwin chaos sorceror
15 Iron breakers
12 Dwarf crossbowmen
the first 2 Harbinger minis
a pile of SoB
A blooddragon vampire count
Skaven Queek haedtaker
My nurgle spawn conversion
a dwarf cannon
a banshee
a space wolf terminator
a necromancer
a sister of sigmar converted into a necromancer
Isobella von Carstein
a dark emissary
some nurglings
a walled garden terrain peice
a mountain tunnel/fortress terrain peice
Legion of the Damned marines

This perhaps explains why it takes me so long to finish anything.

So what are you working on?

Hmm, I have a ton of stuff waiting to paint.

Next in line are an Inquisitor model sculpted by Steve Buddle (Inq Lady Jena Orchiel), the CMON contest 2 (I think) Amazon (such a cool model), and a load of Bretonnians.

I have some Legion of the Damned maries somewhere too Trevor

I\'m currently painting the Harbinger of Justice. I had been painting one of Rackhams dwarven zombies as a christmas present, took him outside to seal him, and gave him a nice layer of white primer :( Iam throwing that can away and painting on primer from now on  20 hours work ruined, and it was all stripped off again in 20 minutes (trusty Nitromors).

Sorry, had to get that off my chest, I\'m having a really blonde month, I\'m glad its nearly over! I\'ll start him again as soon as the Harbinger is finished, cos I can only concentrate on one figure at a time.

Oh Shaz that sucks!! I think I\'d cry if that happened to me! :(

At the moment I\'ve just finished the wolfen from my Howling Pack so I\'m thinking about what to work on next.. I don\'t think I can be bothered with the elf from that box set. I might do another wolfen, or maybe do my saurus carnasaur.

Believe me, I nearly did cry, and that figure nearly learned to fly over garden fences......between this, glueing myself to the table and nearly electrocuting myself this month, my friends have officially classified me as a disaster zone:wow:

I don\'t know how you guys can paint more than one figure at a time, I get my head set into a certain palette for one figure and it really throws me out to swap to a different figure (I don\'t wargame, so I don\'t paint armies etc).

I should paint either Jena Orechiel (Inquisitor), Eiryss (Warmachine), or a few warjacks (Warmachine), but I just had this really neat idea of a conversion/vignette which I just HAVE to have a go at. Of course, the mini I need is out of stock everywhere. So I\'ve ordered it, and I\'m waiting for it more or less patiently, doing nothing.

I really have to start again and finish this Mid-Nor warrior which looks so promising (at least to me). Then I\'ll have to paint my Cygnar for Warmachine... or maybe that Confrontation fire elemental... but that one\'s such a fearsome model. :wow:
And I really have to resist buying a Dasyatis clone regarding all the other minis I already own and haven\'t painted yet.
Ah... Christmas holidays.... then there\'ll be time (?).

Have a nice day,
Tobi

- A Dreampod 9 Heavy Gear which I tried to paint as a UN vehicle - but I may strip it since the white is looking like crap :(
- Reaper\'s \"Protector of Souls\", which will look really good if I ever finish it.
- Reaper\'s \"Sir Justin the Green\", painted as an evil character, a Christmas present for my brother and consequently the priority piece.

It sounds like you have a seroius problem, Trevor. You\'ll never finish any of those unless you start to \"triage\" them.

My to-do list at the moment is (one at a time):
- finish the GW Beastlord
- paint the St.Nicholas Day present \"mini\" for my girlfriend (a smurf :D)
- paint Reaper\'s Chaos Wizard as a Christmas present for my brother

But this list might look different 5 minutes from now... (there has to be room for spontaneous ideas and additional \"odds and ends\" ;))

Well, i\'m on a break because i took bro\'s PC into my room as a favor because his christmas exams are coming up... and the monitor takes up half the space on the desk and then there\'s the rat(mouse :D )

But, i was painting an GW Night and regular Gobbo shamns, 2 Fanatics and a squad of Cadians. :)

I just finished my warlock and now I am going to start on my guardians. I plan on doing five of those and then do another banshee or maybe my newly stripped Farseer and then five of the guardians again. I don\'t like painting them but it has to be done if I am to play with my little ones.

I just put up my two first minis on CMON but they haven\'t been approved yet. :)

So little time...soooooo many minis

Well......currently I\'m still working on my mini for the Chick Challenge. The closing date was last Monday, but it got extended so I\'m frantically catching up after a disaster yesterday.

Taking a leaf out of Fizl\'s book - I was admiring the paint-job on my CC model last night and then........dropped it  Et voila, model reduced to 3 pieces :( So, in a scene resembling Ground Hog Day, I stuck it together again....so tired now. Must sleep....ZzzzzZZZZzzzzzz

Well, I\'m working on some Dirz clones, and a dasyatis dirz thing. I\'m spending sooo much time on those. Oh, and I really need to get to working on my penny...

half finished with half of half....

I have several projects going on, the most pressing though is to finally start using my new hobby room. Been going through the process of moving stuff in and getting it set up.

I was going to satisfy myself with painting some long overdue orcs, but my nephew asked if I\'d paint this \'leopard\' (he is 7 and really into wild animals). I figured it would be a \'model car\' sized animal that might be fun to paint.

So, they bring it over and it is a 2 1/2 foot plaster cast of a leopard.....Gigantic compared to my usual mini stuff. But then my nephew says, \"if you paint it, that will be my christmas present.\"

So now I have a deadline too!!!

;):D???

I just finished doing battle with greenstuff on a conversion, so am now prepared to do battle with the brush and paints again. Also entering the fray are:
the jaguar god conversion Madgrommitt did for me

http://coolminiornot.com/?id=33371

the conversion I just finished of a barbarian from Reaper\'s Island Of Lost Minis (never thought sculpting spiky stuff would be so hard!)
the limited edition Cleopatra put out by Dark Ages Miniatures (to be a Xmas present for my mother, who has always been fascinated by ancient Egyptian history).
Perhaps if I spent all my time painting instead of converting I might actually get good at this... :bouncy:
