Not enough day in the time

On the table or should I say in the draw at work at the moment are:

12 10mm Warmaster Orc Boar Riders;
A Warmaster Giant;
Various Warmaster Orc Command bits;
A Warmaster Wyvern & Rider;
A Warmaster scale Grey Seer and Bone Ripper;
1 I-Kore Fire Wizard thingy;
An Old GW mini \'The Complete Adventurer\'

All of which I want to try and get finished before Christmas so I can start a few more projects :bouncy:

Oh gawd, this is too depressing to think about...

I must have over 100 minis primed. But for REAL ongoing must-finish projects:

Silver and steel girl 99.9% done
Tanis Half-Elven 95% finished ( both Ral Parthas will be future ebay auctions...hint, hint :))

1 commissioned chaos sorcerer about 75% finished. Kinda lost as to the basing thing too...
2 other commissioned chaos pieces(primed)
1 GW LOTR Elrond commission. 85% finished.
1 Reaper barbarian commission. 70% finished... But gawd, its a friggin ugly sculpt :p
1 Rackham barbarian 75% finished.
1 Reaper Clay Golem conversion (another one of my crazy RPG monks :flip:
1 Rackham Dirz conversion. Commission piece for a friend.
Bob Herzog from Kenzer and Co. Knights of the Dinner Table.
Kitiara Uth-Matar from Dragonlance by Ral Partha. Primed, blacklined.
Frulla Krung, Reaper female giant, 30% done
1 Dwarf boobarian primed and basecoated.

And more to come. :wow:

I tend to work on multiple models at once. So sometimes I won\'t seem to finish anything for awhile. Then suddenly I have 3 or 4 models ready within a couple of weeks.
Does anyone else do this I wonder? It\'s kind of a habit from my army painting days.

Now back to that mountain of lead...

Peace!

Yep I do this all the time Angela I find it stops repetition when doing large numbers of similar mini\'s I also try to diferent units in between as well i.e. if I have just done a batch of Orcs I will do Elves or something diferent next so I do not get fed up and lose the will to paint due to repetition. I also try and mix in different scales as well and will wander from 6mm to 90mm.

One of my next projects lined up is a couple of the Solarwind figures in resin these are truly beautiful castings so I might well just keep putting them off (scared).

:)I also like to have several minis to switch back and forth with, giving the previous one time to get good and dry.
I’ve messed up to many minis by not giving the last coat of paint time to dry.:(

Yeah, I like to do that too, as I have one of the shortest attention spans known to man. I\'m currently working on:
-Lysette
-Orc Warboss
-Emperors Champion
-Terminator Captain
-Gauntfield the Scarecrow
-A Fallen Blood Angel
-A Emperors Champion conversion
-A Dwarf Lord
-Ellyrian Reavers
-Kislev Gryphon Legion
-An entire Dwarf army
-An Empire Free company detachment
-Grimgore Ironhide
And that\'s all folks........;)

Dr. Bob

but not THAT Dr. Bob
I might be the only person on the boards to do this, but I only paint one mini at a time. (I do have about 60 minis primed and waiting however.)

Currently, I am working on Krista, War Maiden (Reaper).

currently working on baseically any invention I can make with my bitz (such as battlewagons, minis, accessories, ect.).

Shouldn\'t take me too long to think of something one of my armies needs, that I can scratch build (I\'m opposed to un-converted ork vehicles).

maybe I\'ll just strip one of my older models and convert it.

Edit: Hell hath no fury like an idle converter.

The fellowship, an old christmas Sophie (one with the snowman), and a reaper troll are what I currently have on blocks. I\'m also perpetually working on a box of 20 zombies. I have one conversion wip which is a reaper wight.

looks like quite a few of us get distracted by the latest shiny thing and end up with piles of halfpainted stuff.

Actually, I\'m painting shelves right now. We just moved last weekend, and after a brief visit from the cardiac fairy, I haven\'t been allowed to lift anything heaver than a paint brush to paint the shelves that we need to store all our crap. lol

Once we get finished with that, back to lead for me I think. Lost my dedicated painting station though, so everything will have to be finished and put away. Looks like I may be painting one mini at a time for a while myself, much to the delight of my girlfriend.

Well, the cardiac fairy is a great big pain in the chest that is misinterpreted by ones girlfriend, who calls the ambulance and one gets to go to the hospital and spend several hours waiting on the doctor to tell one that one has strained chest muscles and is overweight, which when coupled with multiple trips up and down the stairs leads to above mentioned trip to the hospital. Other than that everything is OK. (Still havent got the bill yet, so you can imagine what thats gonna do to my heart. lol)

much clearer...

ah that is not as bad as I had imagined.

I was thinking that it was something similar to the tooth fairy. She just takes the tooth and leaves money under the pillow.

So what does the cardiac fairy take, and what does she leave?

lollol

glad to hear everything is ok!!

I usually paint one mini at a time unless I\'m doing a unit for my army. I do have a lot of unpainted primed minis waiting in line though.
Curently I\'m painting the harbinger of justice in the same color tones has sturmhalo , I was out of inspiration and it looked really good that way.
Then will be my first rackham mini ever !!! A nasty looking devourer. :D
