What Brushes?

OK so i just got a couple of winsor newton series 7 Kolinsky Sable Brushes (3/0 and a 1), and after a few days painting with them I've decided that their not very good. I don't know if i got a couple of lemons or what, the bristles split very bad and don't hold their points very well especially on the 3/0 which is frustrating while doing very fine detail. So i picked up an old GW fine detail brush and it felt like night and day, but Ive read multiple times that it should be the other way around.

So I just wanted to know what brushes you guys are using, Ive heard the Escoda Kolinsky Tajmir are very nice but I want to make sure im getting the best brush before i order some more this time. So far rosemary brushes have been my favorite even though Ive read a few times their crap for acrylics.

Thanks

Sadly W&N series 7 have developed a reputation for wide variations in quality.
While I'm still using Winnies which are several years old, so many people have complained about the exact same thing you have encountered.
Did you buy these online or at a store, cos if at a store you should ask to check out the points first.

Rosemary's brushes do have a good reputation, not only among figure painters but also amongst canvas & watercolour painters as well.
