Alright i have $300 to spend on a camara. I\'m looking for one that will work good on taking mini pictures and snap shots.
What camara to buy

do a search through these photography threads there are more than enough views ....thoughts...critiques and arguments about which camera...as well as some really useful tips on what to look for..

well actually i keep looking at the Canon Powershot A630 and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7K . out of those what do yall recommend. And i\'ve spend 2 days on this forum researching and haven\'t found much on either of these camara\'s besidess the Cannon powershot review done by someone on here
I have the Canon powershot A620 and I\'m very happy with it. It can focus up to 1cm away, so if you want extreme closeups this is your camera. The 630 seems to be the next gen. Settings are fairly intuitive and easy to manipulate. And the swivel out LCD is very useful and fairly big as well. Battery life is great, and recovery time between pictures is short. thanks for the link mlavanish. So do you have any examples of the quality the camara takes?
I\'m still a newb at this digital photography thing, but here\'s an example I took today.
Note that my lighting setup is somewhat primitive, and I used auto levels in photoshop (and to crop and put them together of course). And this pic is at 80% quality to get the file size down. Otherwise that\'s pretty much the straight pic. I really need to work on my lighting and on getting the most out of this camera. I\'m sure it\'s much more capable than I am.
Let me know if you\'d like other examples or examples of somthing else. I\'ll see what I can dig up.
