Tis the season to be jolly.....

..I was hoping for a stash of lolly, but got the following:

Pack of batteries (wait for it.....)
Bubble bath
Jar of black peppercorns
Bailieys minis (yum)
Ferrari Rockets (Ferro rochet for those not in the know...)
Electric peppermill (ah, so now you know what the batteries and the peppercorns were all about - had me confused when I opened them)
...and last but not least a mini tripod so no more shakey pics of models

What I bought myself for Xmas:

And what GW gave me:

£64 worth of models - absolutely FREE \'cos the order was cocked up! lol

Really unusual year for me this year, but its actually a very nice change!

That will be fun with the in-laws, I will have almost all the \"pies\" filled in and they will still be saying, \"now, the hobbits are the little short ones, right?\"....

Maybe you should try \"Bladnoch\" a lowland Malt Whisky distilled at Wigton, Dumfries & Galloway. It\'s the most southerly Scottish distillery. (And I can say Been There, Done The Tour and got a Double measure (Neat) to try.! Whooo Hooo..... Addicted!)
Or of course there\'s always \"Bushmills\" Irish Whiskey, got hooked on that due to an Irish colleague bringing me a bottle back from the Belfast 200 motor cycle races. (Back in the 70\'s).
Question: Why isn\'t there an English Whisky? ???

You know, I\'ve no idea why there isn\'t English whisky...maybe they are just too interested in the beer! I have tried Bushmills (I was bought a bottle by some friends), but I really didn\'t like it in comparison to Glenmorangie. Glen Livet isn\'t bad though.....

I was a real whisky fan at one point...

It was my ambition to spend a few weeks/months travelling round Scotland and visiting the distilleries. I hardly ever touch spirits now however, and I am also ashamed to say that I have been converted to Jack Daniels.
Part of it was all that anti-English thing that still does my head in about the Scots and, I have to admit, I actually prefer the taste to a lot of whiskeys. Glenfarclas is my secret vice however, but I wouldn\'t even know where to get it nowadays.
