I decided I deserved a day off, and after some rollerblading I dedicated almost a whole day to painting one of my GD entries. Now my fingers refuse to strenghten after holding a brush for, well, many hours :) and my elbow, which I broke about a year ago, started hurting again :( and all this for the sake of some... ah, no I\'m not telling you :p

Well, today I finally got around to painting my Ravenwing Landspeeder. It\'s about 95% done (just some minor detail work to do, like the pouches I added next to the pilot/gunner, and I need to paint in the pilot\'s eyes).

I was really torn on how I wanted to paint it, and I wasn\'t looking forward to it atall, as I have had terrible luck with highlighting black. It\'s been sitting black basecoated for over two weeks, so I just decided to do it.

It will probably earn me much criticism, but I went with very subtle highlights. I went over all the edges with 80/20 Chaos Black/Shadow Grey, then went over just the corners, very thinly with pure shadow grey, and gave the entire thing a heavy glaze of thinned black ink. This turned out to be a bit TOO heavy, and made most of the highlights invisible.. so I did it aaaaallll over again -_- this time the glaze turned out just right, and once that was dry, I went over the corners once more, even thinner and smaller, with 75/25 Shadow Grey/Chaos Black.

All of the metallics were first painted in boltgun metal, and then highlights with mithril silver, and given a heavy black wash.

Here are some pics of it so far.. I\'ll probably finish it up tomorrow. For a gaming piece, I\'m fairly happy with it. Once I am better at painting black, I may come back and redo it...

Looks pritty god so far. It\'s a magicaian.

Sheeba;
Saw that magician in your other thread, it was looking pretty good, did you go with blue for the hat?

Personally, the only thing I\'ve painted in two weeks is kitchen cabinets, walls, and some touch up work on the front of the van. Haven\'t painted a mini in a while. Still can\'t make myself do it so I\'m wasting time with the forums instead..:(

A bit more work on darthfoley\'s High Elf yesterday afternoon. I\'ll be working on him some more this morning. But i\'ll have to stop painting early this afternoon as we have to take our dog to the Physio-terrotist for some Hydro-therapy.

A heated swimming pool for dogs, yep different. (And fun) :D

I spent the night painting a general on a pegasus for my boyfriend. I never thought the difference between a metal and a plastic horse were so huge, but it really is. This metal horse was fantastic to paint :) and pictures will be up very soon.

Sh*t Trevor, those are some nice lookin\' minis. That Nurgle one is totally sick!

Well, I\'ve been back to work on the Eversor, and he\'s comin\' along good. I did most of the severed head, and tried some NMM on the sword, I think it turned out well...

But tell me what you think!

I\'d like to post a better pic, but I only have a crappy web cam to take pics with, and I have found it can only focus in on only a small part of the mini at any one time.

Im painting a sample mini for a possible commission work. I must be mad though cause the customer wants me to paint a high elf spearmen unit of 20 models! And to highest standard as well, which means only nmm and freehand on every shield...*phew*. Good thing I love painting! He\'s turning out really nice though, I\'ll post hime here soon.

Did I mention that was my first go at NMM? Did I mention that was a universal \'you\' and not one aimed at a particular person?

C\'mon people of CMON, I\'d appreciate a little feedback...[meekly] please? [/meekly].

@ beh
Well, if you post it in the \"discuss submission\" section, you\'ll probably get more responses :D
From what I can see it looks good though, good details and the nmm looks very good for a first try, but I would really need a better pic to be able to give feedback on shading, blending and such.

I\'m painting a Drune Persecutor. It\'s a lot of fun to paint. I love the details on his belt and bracelets. And the axe... you gotta love the axe!
