What do you have to do to be part of the North American Painting Team?

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to join Team America. My mentor for helping me with my painting has unexpectedly left. I live in Maryland. If anyone can give me any advice, it would be appreciated.

Or anyother painting group that is Maryland.

Thank You!!!

You beat me to it :)

And while you learn how to be a great painter, you might even get a montage!

(Everybody needs a montage... even Rocky had a montage...)

TBH, I do not recall ever seeing anything on Team America until your post this morning.

Do they have a yahoo group?
I don\'t recall any CMON\'ers having that in their sig line either.

team america is basicly a bunch of friends who get together at conventions.

it\'s not a secret organization, just a bunch of old friends.

find out which events people from team america are attending and arange to meet up with them. (as they don\'t have get togethers like team britanica)

They have a web site. Go to it and sign up.

And yes, you must be a repressed terrorist that believes they are fighting REAL terrorism.

@ aliengod3.. I think that that website is one for online gameing.

Does anyone here know of any painting clubs/ groups in Maryland? Does anyone here live in Maryland? It is frustrating to take your mini into a GW store or the like and ask for advice and no one can give any. I did a post earlier trying to start one, but it seems no one wants to come to a church to be part of one. I guess they think that they will be preached at. It doesn\'t always have to be like that.

We do??? news to me..

I\'m one fo the members of Team North America..and in reality were really not a team.. just a bunch of friend who have know each other for years and have been meeting up at Games days and Gen Con for years. It all started 3 years ago when Joe Orteza came up with an idea to do the Primarch project and we needed 13 or 15 people to do it so we just got friends to take on a different Primarch and that\'s how it started. Last years group project was Chaos..and well it sort of fizzled..LOL

We have a little yahoo group that we barely post on.. usually the most about 2-3 months before Chicago Games day to discuss our projects and poke fun at each other and then we all show up at Chicago and wear the same T shirts.

The name came about because as a goof we said lets call ourselves team North America. Really were not a team. We have very little organization and we are nothing compared to the Spanish team or the other European teams.

My advice..keep posting here.. you can;t find a bigger team than Team CMON ;) and take the advice people give you. If you want a specific persons comments on your work, directly contact them and no one really bites.. or at least hard :)

Good Advice!

I would think with Baltimore being the home of GW US and having a Battle Bunker you would be able to find a group of like minded people who would want to get together and paint.

I find just pick a night at a game store and show up with a small kit and sit down and paint. People if interested will join you. Make a sign and ask the store if its ok to post it.. create a \"Paint Club\" like environment. If their is interest it will grow.
