Well, guys I´m now painting this miniature from Privateer. I just bought Goreshade to have this girl...I love her pose.
I would like to know what do you think of her skin. The link below leads to the picture which was taken directly from the machine to the computer without photoshop. THe picture is also really big.
Tell me what you think please.
Thank you.

The face & upper body are pretty good, but the legs look like someone left some pumice gel in your paint. Either your paint went all chunky or you need to realy work on that mini.

Looks good but I thinkmore high lights would be good. Dont know if I like the leg tho seems a bit grainy.

Yep. You are actually all right. I don´t know why but this time the miniature was very grainy, i tried to polish it a bit, but even that wasn´t enough..I noticed that when I was still getting the mould lines out of it.
In what concerns to the paint i use like really watered down paint ( 1/6) so I guess that the problem is really the miniature.
DO you know why was this caused? And what can I do to avoid this?:(

What spray did you undercoat her with? I reckon it\'s past it\'s sell by date whatever it is. I had a tin of GW SW Grey do something similar - it looked like a fine bobbley powder after it had dried. Had to sand everything down before painting. Nightmare.

Apply some brake fluid or acetone to the legs with a brush, and re-do them. Maybe try and scrape them smooth with a tool before you re-prime.

It\'s slightly unusual to do this mini with a \"living\" skin tone :D

Those legs look like a good spot for a dremel polishing tip. NOT a grinder, but a hard rubber eraser looking thing.

I undercoated her with Skull White from Games Workshop.I apllied it in 3 thin coats, drying it with an hairdryer and starting the process 10 minutes after....SO...I must do that all again...What about the breast?Should I use some acetone too??And the face? I didn´t want to start it all over...but do you guys think this to be the best way???
And another question? With what should I sand the legs?

any sanding/smoothing/polising would take the paint off.

So you can strip the paint and sand down the lumpies - or you can sand down the lumpies and watch the paint disappear.

There is an article here about polishing points for the dremel. That or very small diamond bits would be my first thoughts.

ok, so the grainyness aside. the blending looks good, however the color looks way orangey, like she gave herself one of those fake spray on tans.

Yep, you´re right. It shure looks tanned..I wanted her to have that feeling of a manga character, but I passed the boundaries of MANGA...lol...

Yesterday I took all the paint from her legs and restarted the paint process in her legs and I also gave some highlights to the face and shoulder and breasts....
What do you think of it now?

something bright and rich.

RED or emerald green or deep blue.
depends on hair and eyes really

I agree, something bright will actually make the skin color look less bright by compairison next to it :)
