What do you think?

Recently I posted a few suggestions about reorganizing/renaming some of the less used forums and to my sheer delight about a week later my suggestions were used! :D

The one suggestion that I made that wasn\'t used was for a new Group Projects forum, for things like PaintAid, the Round Robin painting, Mini-exchange, and the new Works of Heart for the hurricane victims.

I was wondering why that wasn\'t done, after the PaintAid thread played Hide-and-Seek and got lost in the \'submissions\' forum. After much thought, however, now I\'m thinking maybe it\'s better to keep these things in the \'general\' forum, because that is where they will get the most exposure. I\'m sure that is what Chern and/or Borg was thinking, since the other forums don\'t get the huge diversity of people we get on this one. So what do YOU think?

I\'ve got to agree with you here, although i don\'t think it makes too much of a difference, its not like it\'s an amazing problem that the \"help the hurricane victims\" post is in the general discussion, however organising a place where all of these posts can be placed would certainly make things much simpler and easier, so i do think its a good idea :)

I also agree. I\'m involved in Paint Aid and RR so I\'d like to be able to go into one category to keep up on those. Also to be able to see about any new happenings. I never even knew about the \"Works of the Heart\" thing until I started seeing links for it in people\'s signatures. :(

I suppose it\'s too late to do anything for that now...

I agree as well these topics are quite popular amongst a fair few people now and if you don\'t keep track of them on a regular basis you have to go hunting for them and when you look at t he number of topics under general discussion that is no mean feat even with the search facility.

I voted that I could give a rats ass. But that\'s not true. First, I dont have a rats ass to give and second, I only chose that answer because I\'m undecided as to whether or not a new forum would be a good thing.

Here\'s what I\'m thinking, if you make a new forum, it will make finding those group project threads a little easier (but once someone is participating they will find the thread when they want to read it regardless of where it is, I.E. little help or improvement) however for topics like helping hurricane victims, which need exposure to attract participants, it will lose alot of that being put away on a much less viewed forum. Think putting your slayer sword in your closet, less chance it gets stolen but noone sees your greatness so there\'s no point in having the item since it\'s only real use is bypassed. So what would happen for the next \"paint aid/mini exchange\" thread? It would get put in general, painting and the new group projects forums to make sure it reaches everyone, which would only clutter and fragment the subject of the threads.

Currently I\'m probably more against a new forum than for a new forum for the stated reasons above but if the number of group projects continue to grow I\'d probably be for their own forum. How\'s that for an opinion? Yes and no in the same long breath. lol

What a tool.
What\'s he done now? I know he\'s said some remarkably stupid things before...

He and Mike Myers were doing a request on TV for people to donate for the hurricane disaster.

He decides to ditch the script and rant about the media and the fact that the government have told the police/armed forces to shoot black people.

He finished with the statement, \"George Bush doesn\'t like black people.\"

Bell end.

Bush is a goon and a stroker of the highest merit, but he\'s hardly responsible for the social and racial divisions that exist in US society. The guy is a simpleton for even suggesting it!

Capitalism is to blame my good friend.
Have you been to France lately Rev :p?

To get back on topic, at first I thought, whichever, but on the long run, maybe a specific forum will help keep things more formal. I got pretty fed up seeing the same question rise up 20 times on Paint Aid when the answer was on the page just before and the person asking wasn\'t even on the project :flame:.

Alas, it has been several years since my last sortie into my second favourite country :( What\'s kicking off now?

Maybe they\'re still griping about our boys doing a number on them and winning the 6 Nations. I know the English press tried to downplay our remarkable success :D

Nah, well deserved that one. It was the time you beat us a few years ago when we were going to do the Grandslam that pissed me off.

My missus cheered, showing her true colours. Still, I got to see the diappointment in her face when Robinson saved Fat Boy\'s header at the weekend!!lol
