What do you wear when you paint?

I don\'t worry too much about what pants/short/skirt I\'m wearing, but every now and then I have some kind of hand fumble that sends a paint brush spinning across my shirt, so I usually wear T-shirts that have already been designated painting shirts or shirts that have had other mishaps, or shirts I just plain don\'t like. Though I\'m not fanatical about it other than preserving the few nice non T-shirts I have for going out only. I do make it a point to not wear shirts with large cuffs or billowy sleeves cause they drag over the palette when I\'m reaching for paint and brushes. And yes, I did learn that one the hard way. :->

Usually my work clothes. You know, a furry teddy bear costume and a ninja headband.

Like NSA, whatever I\'m wearing generally. Paint accidents are rare when you paint as slowly as I do! Plus now, using stay-wet palettes, there\'s much less chance of a cuff edge getting into a puddle of wet paint than in the old days of a Perspex palette.

I\'ve generally got 1 or 2 pairs of jeans designated as painting in circulation.. use the thigh to dry the brush and remove excess paints saves one more item of clutter on the paint table.. when they reach the end of their life they go to the student charity shop where apparently they are popular so maybe a future designer label job..
other than that any old tshirt although I have my fave comfy ones .. A latex glove on my let hand (I have the greasiest hands on the planet doesn\'t matter how much I scrub .. I swear I was genetically developed from a slug..)
2 things I can never do... paint barefoot ... (too many bits of metal clippings and shavings around.. )
and Paint in long sleeves..don\'t know why it just distracts me having something on my arm while painting..

i have an old t shirt which i use as a painting rag for wiping the brush for drybrushing, taking of excess moisture for juicing and after rinsing.
i just drape it on my left leg and when not in use it sits on the back of the chair (saves a lot of money on jeans
