What do your Elf eyes see?

For the last few weeks I\'ve been having trouble with my right eye not focussing properly. It\'s been fine close up, but not at mid to long distance.

Anyhow, I hadn\'t been painting very much in case that was what was causing it. I finally got round to going to an optician about it and discovered the problem was an ulcer on the outside of the cornea, from the same thing that causes coldsores (didn\'t know eyes could get infected by things like that, go figure  ). A week of \'Zovirax for eyes\' later and my vision is all sorted out

So, since I have no armies or GD entries on the go, I thought I\'d spend some time painting up a single mini to celebrate. I have a few nice models sitting around waiting for a paintjob, but I\'m not sure which to do.

Here are the choices:

Heresy Sludge Gulper

Saint Celestine

High Elf Phoenix Guard Hero (Middle Guy)

Games Day Daemon Slayer

Games Day Wolf Priest

Have fun

In my humble opinion, the only cool mini in that lot is the sludge gulper, so I\'d go with that! The high elf is not too bad, so that would be my second choice.

Have seen them all done a million and one times except for the sludge gulper. Go for that one!

St. Celestine - cool mini, but already done by almost everyone. :( Unless you\'ve got a really unique vision for it, I\'d stay away from it.

HIgh Elf Phoenix Guard - I kind of feel the same way about that mini, too.

Games Day Wolf Priest - [shrug] Not that hot on most 40K minis

So I guess I\'d go with either the deamon Slayer or the Sludge Gulper. But, Hey! It\'s your celebration! Do what you\'d like.

As far as fixing your eyesight: HOO - RAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!

btw until you stopped painting how did this effect your painting? my right eye is bascily useless as the connection from the eye to the brain never fully developed, so it cant be corrected as its not the eye itself. if i close my left eye everything is blurry, ive often wondered how much this effects my painting. i know it effects very small details such as eyes (cant focus on the brush and the eye at the same time) and gems are a bit of pain (can only get the dark colour and the light colour for most of them). so im just woundering for those of you that have a bad eye and it can be corrected... how does it effect you?

Just had my eyes checked out and got the all clear so I hear ya. Paint sludge boy. Should take all of a couple of hours to do a good job on him. And next time your in the freak bar tell bubba to put one on my tab for ya. Cheers.

Blimey, the Sludge Gulper is winning by a mile. I\'d thought about converting him to be coming out of some sort of sewer pipe, seemed appropriate

@Wolf Fang - it didn\'t really affect my painting as I could still focus fine close up. That\'s why I was worried it might just be short-sightedness setting in. Luckily for me it was something that could be treated

Cheers

I\'m calling shenanigans on this poll. All GW things we\'ve seen 100 times, and then one really cool, unique sculpt? lol I hope the results weren\'t too surprising.

The real poll should be which one you should paint after the sludge gulper.
