What does your workspace look like?

I was visiting a buddy\'s house and he was showing me his workspace where he paints. It was so different from my own space, it led me to post this question.

Of course it follows that photos would be better than words, but I am going with a combination:

My worktable: This is the primary working area, as you can see. Its cluttered and busy, with only a pretense at organization.

My BitzBoxes: These are actually a work in progress, as I am trying to organize everything a little better (mainly so I can find what I am looking for in a more timely fashion)

Storage: This set of shelves is a new addition so I can store all my unopened crud. Not everything on the shelves is unopened, and I kind of went on a spree this summer.

Mini Photo Studio: This is the newest change to my work area. I actually just finished it today. The armature lamps wouldn\'t stay on if just clamped to the table, so I decided to screw the bases to the table.

SO, what does your work space look like?

Its only organized because its been freshly done. Give it a week.

lol well, like yours, mine\'s newly done! But I wanted all my paints in one area. The Vallejo case was too awkward, and the Pantier carousel wouldn\'t fit in there. Had to improvize. And I\'m happy with the results

I don\'t have any pics of my workspace, as I don\'t have a camera yet It\'s not impressive anyway, no real organisation, no sheles for storage, just things piled up.

As Temporary Insanity has shown on another posting like this, a home office armoir (sp) or computer hutch works extremely well.

By day, out of the way and cat/wife proof.

When I need to use it, SHAZAM!

I like the idea of cat-proof. But now that have the new shooting table, he prefers to sleep under there (rather than on the computer keyboard).

Storage shelves.

Left side of my bench, plus all my paints, the paints are normally in the tray under the bench.

All my tools, where my dremel bits live, brushes etc etc

Where my bits boxes live for the time being, until I decide to put them somewhere else, also where the dremel lives.

The whole bench, all 4 layers

The upper shelves are for things to dry, second shelf is general space, main bench is my work space, currently about as clean as it gets.

A little bit of trivia. The guy who created them co-founded and runs my local gaming club.

Nope, thats whats currently being turned into dark angels, most of my ultramarines are in new zealand in storage.

But thats ten grands worth of dark angels, the same of imperial fleet, plus a lot of wip stuff.

Im still waiting on more dreadnoughts, more rhinos/land raiders etc coming, along with a heap more paint.

Ah, I\'m afarid I can\'t really answer how he came up with them. I was told that info by the other co-founder of the club. Dave doesn\'t get to do much gaming atm and I haven\'t been to the club for 5 months due to my poor health. I know it\'s not a happy for Dave, well, he\'s proabably ok with it; but whilst he got himself in the credits as a contibutor for the early printings of Rogue Trader, his name was later removed. That\'s not the worst thing though. Allegedly (I say this as it was the other guy that told me this as well), Dave came up with lots of stuff about chaos and offered it to GW. They declined, can\'t remember why. However, not all that long later out came the Slaves to Darkness books, and in them was included the aforementioned stuff Dave had offered. No credit or anything.

It didn\'t dent his interest though. He continued to play 40k. At the moment he\'s working on his own projects. Nothing GW related.
